As a longtime poster in this thread who had to duck out due to several (invented or real) elements of Basic Becky’s life hitting too personally, causing some MATI feelings — coming back to see she actually had a kid made me want to commit a hate crime.

Think of all the people you know who can’t have kids or who never had the chance to have kids. Maybe an infertile friend. A aunt who never married. A friend who got divorced during prime parenting years. Think of how many of them would be wonderful parents. You’ll get MATI, too.
