Oh, now this is a sweet,
sweet meat.
I had intended to come with a parable of someone managing to break free of the cult brainwashing, however briefly, and how it was a beautiful thing to behold. However, before I could even do so, a prediction which had merely resided at the back of my head at the time almost immediately came true: the
antibodies at once rushing towards the rogue element once this system felt threatened by the notion of losing one of its thralls, and thus how the instance became instead a laughable farce to witness.
Behold how a user--Casette--has their head briefly rise above the murky waters of delusion and indoctrination to realize that if America is intent on tearing itself apart in this civil war between two incredibly loud minorities (the unsympathetic SJWs and the technofascist alt-right), then Canada is better off cutting its losses and looking after its own and not succumbing to the power struggle of an ineffective left and iron-fisted right directly south of them.
Then
witness how Mayberry, a notably outspoken gender-obsessive even among the forum's myriad deviants, immediately turns it into a test of loyalty to the gender cult: accusing Casette of daring to walk out on their trans xixters and "siding with the outsiders" over the cult, and Casette, when pressed, affirms that yes: even as a member of that same cult, when presented with the choice between the cult and everyone else, they will pick
everyone else.
Witness how the attacks and guilt-tripping begin immediately. The wails of how they're making the space "unsafe". The accusations of bullheaded nationalism. The "no true Scotsman"-isms of claiming they're not a "real ally".
Witness how even Rocko's, a user who initially sympathized with Casette at first, instantly does a 180° and turns on Casette once Casette--refuting an accusation that they only care about the
government of Canada with a clarification that they care about the
people of Canada, such as their actual friends and family (rather than any of their trans "kin" over the internet whom they don't even know)--dares assert that the needs of the many could
possibly outweigh the needs of the few. As
that would necessarily imply that the stunning and brave trans minority who are the Canary in the Coal Mine™ are, as the term "minority" would suggest, indeed the "few" compared to
all of Canada and thus cannot also be a stunning and brave trans
majority with Humanity On Our Side™, and as a result, the wellbeing of said minority cannot be a higher priority than the wellbeing of indeed
all of Canada.
Witness how all these old warriors' nominally-disowned masculine aggression can so swiftly come back at a moment's notice once they've identified an "enemy combatant" in their midst. Note the abuse, the calls for the Dumb rating they supposedly reviled to return
just for this one particular "undesirable", the name-calling, the calls for Casette to go fuck themselves--the sheer, unadulterated, and unmistakably
male belligerence and
hate toward someone who dares suggest they aren't the
Main Characters of Life and thus risks shattering their egocentric worldview. How quickly the
men inside them wake right back up:
Threat: identified. Directive: remove. Now execute with overwhelming prejudice, soldiers.
Witness the hypocrisy of accusing Casette for "only looking out for their own personal interests" because they dare not look out only for the interests of trans people: the willing ignorance of the
blatant self-interest in presenting someone with the false dichotomy of an "it's us or them" ultimatum, and then the disdain towards them for having the "audacity" of actually picking the latter.
Witness the respective punishments doled out by the forum's thought police once all is said and done: slaps on the wrist for the aggressive dogpilers whose transgressions they technically can't ignore, and a significantly more severe penalty for the one who would challenge the
Doctrine.
And once you're done
witnessing, place your bets on whether Casette manages to hang onto that strand of independent thought once their ban expires or whether they'll have been "privately persuaded" behind the scenes during the interim into apologizing for their unorthodoxy and stepping right back into line.
