lmao I dont understand why people are disagreeing with you, 3 hours would be closer, 1 hour per meal, but genuinely if you want to cook a wholesome hot meal its at least 1 hour of prep and cook and clean per meal EASILY, maybe you cut it down by preping earlier in the week or ignoring cleaning but that time still counts.
Because if it takes you an hour to prep and cook a meal you probably have an IQ below 75 or some sort of horrible downs preventing you from living and acting like a normal person. I made a shakshukah last night and it took me 30min. There's plenty of meals you can make that are healthy, filling, nutritious and take 30min or less. If it's taking you 3 hours to prepare a single meal you're either cooking for 20 people or choose a very extravagant coursed meal meant for an afternoon or the aristocracy.

Most people who get home after a long day of work on a hasty breakfast and minimal lunch dont have the energy to put together a complex meal and just opt for the easy route

How hard is it to grill up some chicken and throw it on a salad? It takes like 10min total from start to eating

I don't think it's time, it's energy.
I've seen it regularly, men and women at the end of the work day either physically or mentally drained, they grab a 4 pack of beer or a bottle of wine and snacks, go home, sit down and don't get up again till it's time to go to bed.

I think the cure is education. If you don't have the energy left to enjoy your spare time, that's time you've given your boss for free.

Edit, highlight wanker

I was treated to tofu twice in my life, accidentally due to menu confusion. I would not wish tofu on my worst enemies. That shit is a culinary abomination and one of the only foods I've ever had to outright just throw away because I could genuinely not stomach what was supposed to be a meat dish. That wasn't meat. It was a mistake. Fucking foul.
Tofu is actually pretty neat since it absorbs the flavor of marinades and seasonings well. It does have an odd texture, though, so that's why some people hate it.

Also, good morning USPG2! News outlets are reporting that Democrats are backing down on a government shutdown and Trump will get his budget.

This is why going to the gym is the essential first step to unfucking your life. It makes part of your routine each day that is for yourself not your work, results in higher levels of energy, and a real desire to consume protein instead of goyslop.

I'll be fair, from unpacking the groceries to plating the food was an hour and change the other night, the brats had to thaw and I was juggling doing dishes and laundry at the same time

yeah there's def times I give no fucks whatsoever
back when I was on EBT it became my habit (since I couldn't go to the drive through) to go for the frozen burger patties, still do
they're hardly great cuisine, but throwing a frozen burger patty in the air fryer is less effort than navigating drive-through and just about as miserable a burger lol

yeah iirc with it passing the house that's basically it for expected spots to fall over?

We are supposed to believe that American carriers have magic tech that can beat a dozen smaller ships with hyper sonics. And that next gen fighters will sink them all.
Carriers are useless, which is why China is spending billions to develop carriers with parity to the US?
China would only really want carriers when its time to fuck with Japan and India. Their focus at the moment seems to be beating an American carrier fleet in and near Chinese waters.
They need Carriers to attack countries well within their land based air force range? Including a country they share a disputed land border with?

Any meat can be ground into chuck and pressed into patties then frozen. If you can cook a Bubba burger you can cook gourmet organic grass fed goth jerked beef burgers 🍔
if I want something that's good I'll give a shit and get fresh ground beef, this is more about sloth and gluttony

It's demoralization and depression. A person does not care what they consume if their general life satisfaction and motivation to live are low. This is probably why unhealthy eating is often correlated with a lack of hygiene, adverse health outcomes or an unclean living environment.

Why Pacific Islanders so fat? I thought the cope was that they are an agricultural farming people so they're big because they do a lot of physical labor.
Because primitive diets like theirs were meant to be as nutritious as possible and fill them with enough protein and nutrients to be able to do all that physical work. Now food is plentiful, you don't have to labor and grow your own which leads to much bigger portion sizes. This would be fine but you don't labor like even 100 years ago. So now you've got people eating even more and doing less which leads to extreme obesity. Having your feed be unhealthy isn't too bad until you're sitting around consuming it all day. It's the same with Hispanics that come to the US and get gigantic off beans and rice

Not only that, but I had to take my car to the mechanic recently and it was the cheapest visit in four years. Thanks, Trump!

Countries spent enormous sums during the interwar period on battleships that became massive liabilities due to the maturation of air power. Never underestimate the power of institutional inertia in militaries.

Nobody has time. You basically need someone with an extra four hours a day to plan and cook anything that's not super basic and nobody can afford that.
This is legitimately the most retarded take I’ve read on this website, and that’s saying something.
Do you subsist solely on a diet of Beef Wellington or something where you need four hours a day to prepare food?

Is this right? absoloutley not, is this good? same response. But its the reality for alot of hard working not super bright people and should be addressed, what he is getting at is why hunters/gatherers were 2 separate jobs 35,000 years ago, one person gets the shit, the other person is preparing the shit, simple as, then we went and fucked up the whole system.
lol 1 hour per meal. How about 30 minutes per meal. If you just throw some meat in the oven and then have leftovers the next few days, all you’ll have to do is heat it up in the microwave for like, two minutes. Rice? Two minutes. Vegetables? Maybe three. A potato? Around five. That’s literally 12 minutes of heating stuff up. Then after all you have to clean is maybe a plate, a couple bowls, and a few utensils. Wait, what’s a dishwasher?
