Its a bad case for a long list of reasons. Any of those reasons would have been enough to justify the prosecutors walking away from it.
- Unsympathic druggie swinger victims with revenge motives in reporting the incident
- Two bad, hostile, probably uncooperative and yet essential witnesses in the case.
- The case pushes the Revenge Porn law in Minnesota right to the limit.
- Nick testifying in the case.
- It could also very well be budget reasons. Flying in two witnesses from out of state for a case like this seemed like unusual spending. And within the last month there is suddenly alot of drama about the state budget.
- Nick's various recent public comments about the case.
- The past accusations of computer trespassing against Nick and April.

From an outsider point of view, there were always more reasons for prosecutors to drop this case than go to trial. Even though they have the right to take to trial if they believe in it.
