How the hell is Tophia going to recover from this?
I doubt they have insurance of any kind, with brotherchu out of the picture, and mamachu, while in stable condition she is a sickly 70 y/o woman so there is a probability of her death as well.
They are going to be in debt
someplaces or charities have a victim of violent crime fund, you know to pay for necessities, healthcare and I think psychological care. If she's smart she would use that to get some sort of stability under her feet. If the fund is just "here's some money" she's gonna spend it all on "self southing and coping" purchese because "that's what tiktok told her" and not what an actual Dr or med professional told her.
Will she just try and survive off of donos and her fictional “tiktok money”? Or will this finally be the wake up call she’s needed?
I doubt it, people like her refuse to do any introspection. If we didn't see it when she was booted from the Motel we won't see it now.
tophia and her situation seems to just get worse and worse.
Once you're on the street unless you make a real effort to get out of it, it's a spiral downwards. There's a gap between not needing social services and needing them however often it is easier to fall deeper into the "needing them" category because the poorer (and more helpless) you are the more you get. The idea of SNAP, section 8 and the like are that they are suppose to be "gap fillers" or temporary. I helped someone get on SNAP while they were honestly waiting for work call backs and a fulltime student, and the office workers who helped him were actually happy when my friend told them he actively was job searching and not trying to stay on SNAP forever. So many poor and stupid people try to "game the system" to get more handouts. Seriously if you want a wake up call go down town to the EBT office and listen to people's conversations. Rarely are they people who are trying to better their lives, most are people who are refusing to better themselves in an actual productive way or think the way this fucked up family thinks. They have zero sense of consequences and they think they are owed something. I became friendly with one of the workers and a cop there and these people will go smoke crack in the bathroom and cry when they get caught refusing to understand why what they did was wrong, they also told me that the worst people are blacks (african American and haitian specifically) because they feel like they are OWED something. "Like no Jamal you need to have some type of income for this program, your tiktok-sound cloud check that's totally coming doesn't count"
These people will use all their EBT and crap to buy pounds and pounds of junk and premade unhealthy food instead of buying a fucking apple or making it yourself. A snack or two is understandable, but we are talking about people choosing to buy the microwave lasagna for $15 instead of buying $25 (or less) worth of parts and making 3 lasagnas. These people think they are above healthy poverty food. Again we as a society give people the bare essentials to survive and build their lives up, the issue is that so many of them have no self sufficiency skills. It's not hard to take your free Obama phone or library computer and look up "EBT recipes" These people will get into actual fights because they can't buy KFC on EBT (you can't buy hot meals on EBT it's a federal rule and they tell you that when you get the card) and will yell at the cashier like he made it up. You can put it in simple English and they don't understand. They think that their situation is unique and that's why they need special attention. No Jamal, when my family came to the USA 100+ years ago they were dirt poor, spoke zero English and weren't citizens, however through local/ethnic mutual aid/workers guilds (the precurser to modern state social services), they learned English (or enough), got working, became proud citizens and ensured they or at least their children would never need to rely on the aid of others.
I'll leave you with one thing, many people who are stuck in a loop of near poverty will use these programs to establish themselves or lean on the community to fill the gaps (if you have a party at the local park (free or really cheap) and everyone brings one item, you have more ebt to spread around. The issue is that those people are quite and the ones who aren't make these social services look like a fucking waste.
Also did anyone else notice tophie almost started one of her rants about “internet people” in the instagram story? Her brain has been completely rotted.
This is tiktok brain
Sorry for the rant it just angers me when I see this shit.
