Social Security is already a welfare program. That's how it became law.

Just don't dare tell a SS recipient that.
why would they deny that? social security is the largest welfare program the US runs. it's literally labeled and designated as a welfare program. SSI specifically is the largest welfare program in the US eclipsing even food stamps.

You would be surprised how many old people truly believe that SS is a savings account they've been paying into their entire lives and it's "their money" instead of the redistributive welfare program that it really is.

Even the post I replied that too is suggesting we "replace SS with a welfare program for old people" when that's literally what it's always been.

That's true if the money you paid into social security was invested in an index fund it would pay out much more than social security gives.

  • Social Security: You pay in $3,720/year, and in return, you could receive $18,000-$30,000/year.
  • Index Fund: You pay in $3,720/year, and in return, you could withdraw around $44,000/year from your investment.

Modern "real economists" exist in an Overton window that presupposes Ricardo's concept of "comparative advantage" is correct. Ricardo argued that international trade is always beneficial, even if one country is more competitive in every area than its trading counterpart. Ricardo opposed protectionism for national economies. David Ricardo, Thomas Malthus, Adam Smith, James Mill, and Jean-Jacques Rousseau were anti-Mercantilists and argued in favor of laissez-faire "free trade" economics. All modern Western "real economists" are built on this foundation. They are the reason Thomas Carlyle dubbed economics "the dismal science".
Well this was an interesting Wikipedia rabbit hole. Thanks.

You're all missing the obvious one.

TESLA. They've been doing this to Tesla for years. I don't know if they just don't want an upstart techbro controlling EVs or what, but they've been shorting and press bombing Tesla for years to drive it's stock down. Elon has talked about it publicly before.

Social Security became law as a direct response to an entire generation of retirees losing their savings gambling in the stock market. A welfare program for old people. Nothing goes up forever.

No quinine = no malaria protection

I don't know what low rent tonic syrups you may purchase, but I can assure you that the ones I use contain quinine. There will be no malaria is this household thank you.

There was also some speculation that quinine was effective at preventing COVID. I've always wondered if my diet of G&Ts protected me better than all of the people I knew who got jabbed and still got COVID.

This showed up on my twitter timeline:
fun fact, the reason Rick in Rick and morty is named Rick Sanchez is because back when the show was being made, a journo that called out the ZOG named Rick Sanchez was in the news and the kikes in charge wanted to mock him as a delusional person, so they chose this crazy (possibly child molesting) scientist in their cartoon to be named that once they realized they couldn't call him Doc.

One of those few times Jon didn't attack republicans during his original run was when going after Rick Sanchez for his comments on the jews.
Wow look at all those fox stations! Didn't Sinclair love trump too. those fucking republicans are the enemy ! -invisibult plus+

exactly, sure it seems like a no brainer now, but what if you couldn't rely on the stock market going up? a guarantted 6% ROI vs 12% ROI that has a chance of being destroyed is a no brainer.
