If I pay you a dollar to say the word "nigger," and then you pay me a dollar to say the word "faggot," we just added $2 to the GDP.
That joke about increasing the job market by paying one guy to dig a hole and another to fill it and have them do it for 8 hours.
Why the hell are we doing this for free then?
We're all jannies, now.

The GDP is an indicator of how much faggots like to sell to niggers, and very little else. It's a decent indicator of economic movement, but not of economic health, or even of ability. Politicians and """economists""" focus on the GDP/Legalized Gambling when they don't give a shit about the actual cost of living index and everything else that surrounds actual people economics, y'know, the economics that actually fucking matter since people buying is necessary for linegoup.

I'm convinced that economists believe that people aren't just obligated to buy, but are calculated to buy like some machine. Would really explain modern corporate confusion as to why so many products fail because people have opinions and needs.

So, your personal life isn't worth anything unless somebody sells your personal information without your consent?
You're both missing the point. The user who originally posted that a hundred or so pages back was making the point that the GDP needle moving on its own is not solely indicative of how healthy the economy is if what's driving it is worthless shit like your wife's mid tits.

Remember, inflation is measured month over month or, rarely, year over year. If the American people saw the effects of inflation since 1913... well, they won't do anything. As fun as it is to imagine, Americans have been conditioned to accept inflation as normal.
plus they're lying. it's actually slowly lowering

Basically, a 2% national sales tax that paid unemployed seniors a monthly stipend that had to be spent that month
while that would have been very fun, and would probably do wonders for consumer spending. it wouldn't have meant the government stealing money from people, which is why it was a no-go
See, I can put words into people's mouths too.

Retard.
Sinclair has been called the local tv empire turning stations into Trump mouthpieces, don't act like this didn't go viral years ago for that exact reason.
Here's what I don't get? Why do people use the stock market as a gauge of HOW the economy is doing?
its a daily and mostly real time indicator. there are other metrics but like inflation numbers or jobs numbers you have to wait weeks for the results to appear.

i love those jokes, especially when "email girlies" are basically just that en masse. i've worked for a few start ups that were forced to hire a fuckload of people because it makes investors feel good.

if you've ever had to ask people consumer surveys it does start to feel like a logical conclusion. fun fact, if you ask people at a resturant, especially fast food establishment why they chose it "why did you chose to come to mcdonalds" they can't come up with a reason. You basically have to force one on them by talking about advertisements or discounts or whatever.

Imagine trying to believe something has thoughts and feelings when it can't even come up with a reason they're eating goyslop.

I remember hearing somewhere from someone once that: fucking your wife doesn't increase the GDP, but recording someone fucking your wife and selling it on OnlyFans does increase the GDP.
That's correct, though I like to use another example instead.

Consider a bugman who lives in a big city. He doesn't do his own laundry, he goes to a laundromat. He doesn't cook food, he eats at a restaurant. He doesn't raise his own kids, he hires a nanny to raise them. He doesn't drive himself, he hires a taxi. He doesn't own his home, he rents an apartment.

Now consider a normal human. He uses his washing machine to clean his clothes. He cooks his own food. He spends time with his kids. He transports himself. He owns his own house.

Both people did exactly the same things: they cleaned clothes, ate food, raised kids, moved around, and live somewhere. Their productivity is identical, yet only the bugman contributed to GDP.

GDP is NOT a productivity metric, it's a measure of the velocity of money.

I know it's a meme that Americans love to buy more than they can spend; I didn't think it was taken literally. All you have to do is soapbox with a brand, and expect maximum profit. It's quite sad.

That's true if the money you paid into social security was invested in an index fund it would pay out much more than social security gives.

  • Social Security: You pay in $3,720/year, and in return, you could receive $18,000-$30,000/year.
  • Index Fund: You pay in $3,720/year, and in return, you could withdraw around $44,000/year from your investment.
This is only true if you assume the stock market will always go up.

I have been meditating and reflecting on why Pam Bondi and Kash Patel have not done anything about epstiens island and why Trump didn't do anything his first term. I think the contents might actually be far worse than any of us can even fathom. It created more questions than answers and likely damn near broke their minds. What if their inaction and indeed the majority of law enforcement is not because they are in on it. It is actually genuine shock induced paralysis and what they read.

Epstein’s island wasn’t just about one man—it was a symptom of a corrupt system where the ultra-powerful believe they can do anything without consequences. It exposed how wealth, influence, and blackmail create a network of silence that protects predators and buries the truth. The real question isn’t just what happened there, but why it was allowed to happen for so long, and how many others like him are still out there, shielded by the same system.
