The LMG AI voice PSU review channel has released their first entertaining video.
GameMax GX-1050 Pro 1050W Power Supply - LABS Test Report

Of course, while they can't recommend this Taliban IED larping as a PSU, they're still going to throw up an affiliate link in the description with the imperative sentence, "Buy a GameMax GX-1050 Pro 80+ Platinum PSU".

You know it's bad when even the LTT fanboys call LTT out on their bullshit, although even then some of them are still huffing copium.1741369393559.png

So the one time it's obvious that the content shouldn't be anything other than how it's a piece of shit, to never buy it, etc they still include a fucking affiliate link to it specifically with the text to buy it, and then in the video proceed to have the AI talk about the fucking warranty and cables.

If there is a possibility of a PSU exploding in a shower of sparks(without it being due to the retardation of the owner) I don't care about the fucking warranty or cables as I'd never want to buy it. Instead I as a viewer and consumer(presumably their target audience) would be curious about failure analysis considering it didn't even have a load... which they didn't fucking do with their "lab". Hell, considering that the power supply blew up, how did they actually come to the conclusion that the cables are worth a shit?

Honestly I'm wondering if "the labs" fucked up when they took the fan and cover off the PSU to film it because I'm not understanding why they would even be plugging the PSU into wall power while the case is off just for what basically amounted to a photo shoot segment, especially since nothing was plugged into it.

lol this is weak. They included an AFFILIFATE link after a statement SAYING TO BUY THIS EXPLODING PSU as a means for people to identify which product they were testing in their AI voiced "review". They couldn't use a non-affiliate link or just link to the product page on the company's site because...OMG Labs so awesome just take my money.

And of all the voices they could've used they use the same one used by tiktok slop reposting channels. Linnaeus talks way too much yet they couldn't be bothered to train a model on that. Truly a cutting edge tech channel.

Linus is a fucking retard if he ever assumed that would somehow make money for some LAN party shit.
guaranttee Linus thinking the past decade has been "hey i thought it would be a fun idea to do X and i have a fuckload of money, therefore other people would like to do it too and i can charge them out the ass for it!" Not realizing everyone else isn't very rich from youtube nor has his idea of what "fun" is.

i wonder what sped was handling that psu to blow up like that. in 20 years building pcs i havent seen anything like that. you drop things, you fuck up some pins but shit straight up blowing?

Dumbass probably dropped a screw into it. I've seen plenty of electronics pop, spark, smoke, etc. over the years, and yeah nothing like that fountain of sparks without some massive skidmarks and a cloud of smoke from a component. Especially considering it had no load and wasn't even turned on(the switch on the back may have been on, but the PSU itself wasn't actually switched on) However, a screw wobbling around touching things it shouldn't on the 110v side of the PSU could probably do it.

So bambu 3D printers are having a moment, and LTT man decided to make a video apparently to comment on it.....

Somebody on the openbambu subreddit posted the video and the comments are perfect

took some screen shots of pre glazing as the LTT crowd has not found the thread yet....

Link for others who would like to follow (BUT NOT BRIGADE, LET THE IDIOT APES COMMUNICATE WITHOUT OUR HELP)

Didn't Bambu Labs do this shit back in January? 2 months ago? And just now Linus is trying to turn it into content after every other 3d printing and tech youtube channel under the sun did so a month or more ago? And then the video itself... he's had these printers for a while(supposedly) but didn't have a filament dryer? Still hasn't printed the extra dessicant packs to go into the AMS units?

Then someone proceeds to circle jerk for prusa, brags about being able to spend hundreds of more dollars to repeatedly to update the prusa(each of those upgrades he mentioned if he actually did them all individually ranged from around $200-$500, not including the $450 upgrade he shows that he hasn't done yet leaving the printer incredibly slow by comparison to the chink shit). Then starts talking about his resin printer that's an entirely different topic on its own.

Then William Osman who gets shit for free(that prusa XL has with 5 heads is $3,500, or over 4x the cost of the chink brand printer Linus is bitching about) due to his subscriber count, so I'm not sure what the fuck his opinion is supposed to be worth.

Then Jeff Geerling that prints mostly trinket garbage and doesn't even have one of his 3 printers put together.

I have no idea who the last guy is talking about some even older chink slop printers.

And then an ad showing off shit from his "Labs" garbage again that he doesn't actually use for anything, still. So basically most of his video wasn't even his own content and he's attempting to "report" on a happening... months late.

I had seen before on the company I work on it's not common but it happens, the best is that when electrolytic capacitors explodes, they have a pungent fried chicken smell, is horrible

So LTT is using AI voiceovers and Ai scripts on their Labs videos ( ~13:13 in the video.)? Makes sense since the whole website reeks of AI slop.

Linus: "you're probably wondering, why don't you guys just have a human voice the videos and then have a human fully edit it, and I get it, I would genuinely love to do that, but let me put it this way, so far on this channel we have made an eye watering $138 in AdSense"
Actual answer: "We're broke!"

What a return on investment Labs turned out to be.

Wow, who would have thought that the business model that works for human generated edutainment content does not work for what is effectively hardware analytics content? Its almost like you need to run different product offerings with different business models oriented towards the target audience. But that'll bring us back to the usual "Who's the target audience" debates, where its still a bit foggy whether they want to make a useful data tool for direct comparisons like GSMArena, or if they're trying to make edutainment like their mainline material reviews.

Oh, so after a week he's got a video to address the bullshit. Claims a 23% failure rate, and that 9 out of 39 of their PSUs died during testing? I'm all for finding faults in products, but that seems so high to the point of maybe they need to determine if they're actually testing the things correctly? He doesn't mention how their testing has been validated.

Spent even more money adding to their PSU test station that they barely do anything with.

"We don't public our temperature results yet" So why the fuck bother collecting the data? Bought an overkill oscilloscope($17,000 btw), took 10 months to figure out how to use the test rig(and probably still isn't using it right). Admits he ISN'T following specification test standards and is just inspired by them but gives a "trust us" line to justify it.

"our coveted we cannot recommend award" which is just a line of text buried at the end of of the text portion of the review. Maybe put that up front?

Automates the article writing. Automates the voiceover. Has someone on staff tardwrangling the voice AI instead of just doing the fucking VO themselves? Even if they've only made the $138 on adsense, the time that the AI tardwrangler spends, presumably paid, she could have just done the fucking voiceover herself. Says the economics of humans doing it doesn't make any sense, the economics of the entire building/website/channel make no fucking sense.

I think he thought he would be able to leverage his brand name to make it wildly successful, and to be fair that would've been a reasonable assumption on his part. Unfortunately there are lots of people making similar products that churn out AI generated videos etc.

I have seen one that generates more income than that channel makes.

The problem Linus has is that his operation is fucking massive which means he moves incredibly slow. There are teams of 1 or just 3-4 people who are much younger and agile and fueled by adderall who can churn out a competing product that has much more features and interesting shit than his stuff does.
