This. I have a feeling that this is one of those laws that will be in the books but will either not be enforced and was just for show, or there will be all kinds of loopholes (VPNs and whatnot).

That's my concern. People could probably legal weasel their way through any charges given enough fuckery, which establishes precedence, which could make the laws all for naught.

I know Texas is often seen as more based/ignorant (depending on your stance) when it comes to these things, but it has its own share of bullshit federal judges that can and will run counter to any of that.

Even most 7 year old children know the difference between video game violence and real violence. I played GTA: SA as a child and turned out turned out fine.
