The problem is that she's ~30 years old and doesn't have a driver's license - never has. In her big "give to my brother's friends Go Fund Me!" posts today, Tohpia was saying they needed a LOT more money than just for the funeral, they also needed money for a new car, which then she can "maybe" learn to drive. This just goes to show how dumb she is, and how fucked she and the rest of the family are without their most functional family member.

Tohpia doesn't understand cars, what they're worth, why you would want at least a studio apartment or a bedroom to rent before you buy a car, that cars need insurance and gas, or what it takes to get a driver's license. She also doesn't understand that without a license, she can't even buy a car to sleep in, let alone get it off the lot. She thinks money will resolve all of the above, with no further effort from her.

After processing the initial grim tragedy of it all, I have some stray thoughts:

1) By 5pm PST Toph will have a GoFundMe she'll be blasting as hard as she can.

There's a lower bar to having a car in her neck of the woods than you might think. It's very common to see cars without license plates, even temporary tags, in the southern part of the city. APD doesn't really enforce traffic laws in many areas anymore. They can be suspended or fired for just about anything so they've become very risk averse.
