I was specifically criticizing a government official talking about how open source software is bad because it enables that. I agree it's wrong to generate that kind of imagery, but that doesn't make it right to put all software under lock and key, where the government and its pet corporations get to decide what runs and what doesn't.

Anyway, I guess this excuses @WelperHelper99 from defending his prophet, right?

I don't get your point.
