Nothing reveals a person is a massive dork like them advocating their BluSky account. YouTube suggested me a Portal video today, and I instantly lost interest once the guy said to follow him on BluSky.

It is very cringe. A podcast or whatever mentioned they're on X and BluSky and they have to through in some commentary about how bad Twitter now is. I've heard a few variations of, "We asked our followers on X and BluSky for questions. Interestingly, the comments were better on BluSky." It's just an instant gut reaction of "fuck off."

I for one remember the days when right-wingers treated electric vehicles with extreme suspicion, and believed (correctly) that the only vehicles you can rely on that won't break down, spy on you, or be remotely accessed by the government were old vehicles that were as mechanical as possible and relied on as few computer functions as possible. I guess all you need to do to squash 90% of suspicion against something is to get leftists to ree at it. Tesla is for jeets.

Point taken.

But Tesla's car are really nice, despite the gay tablet interface in the center. Cybertruck seems totally useless though.

(while almost certainly unintentional) can be seen as a criticism of welfare/foreign aid.
other than the most basic and literal "this is what happens when you give a mouse a cookie" I'm having a hard time coming up with any other possible meaning of the story?

That’s fucking retarded. How is your brain supposed to be challenged if you aren’t pushed into reading levels above your own?
They don't want your brain challenged. Remember, they have to aim for the bell curve they aren't allowed to acknowledge. Are you reading better than a well trained negroid? Then you are an overachiever and thus a problem.

The real lesson of public education is how to be a well trained worker. How to not cause problems with the other workers, or your boss. How to be able to sit and do a task for 8 hours straight. How to competently follow directions.

I stress that this is not sarcasm or doompill. I forget the country, but the US public education system was based on another country's that had the explicit goal of training factory workers. People just smart enough to run the machines but not smart enough to rise above their lot in life.

Regardless, the point of the system is not to learn. If they could push out generations of children who knew how to run the machines but couldn't read, they would.

For the real doompill, picture what these fuckers are going to do once AI or LLMs get far enough along that they don't NEED factory workers.

Prussian. Specifically Prussian. Straight out of the Industrial Revolution.

Oh I agree with what you’re saying. You have to essentially learn outside of school as a child. If you don’t you are pretty much fucked. Schools aren’t designed to create an intelligent thinker, but rather an obedient slave. I have some experience with this because as a child I could do mental math very well and still can. They didn’t like that very much.

Friend good, enemy bad.

WTF is happening. The Chuds are demanding people eat organic foods, and stop using GMO seed oils while rolling up in electric cars to dunk on the Left. Meanwhile, the Left is saying not eating the GMO food and bowing to global pharma conglomerates is fascism. And if you drive an electric car you are a right wing extremist.

We're in a political realignment. Try not to get whiplash from the rapidly changing alliances and positions.

Try and guess which political party these examples align with:
• Tranny who won an Olympic gold medal.
• Feminist author who post hoc made characters gay.
• Warmonger's daughter who disowned lesbian sister.
• Yale Law Journal alum with Indian wife and Silicon Valley ties.
• Republican Governor known for being "macho".
• Son of Democratic presidential candidate who wants to regulate Big Pharma and Big Ag.
• New Yorker beauty pageant and reality TV host who built a casino and gaudy hotels with multiple divorces and who banned "bump stocks".

Things are going to continue to get weirder and weirder. Liberals who say the "parties switched" are wrong, but that's because there isn't continuity through the realignments.

Left vs Right is going to mean even less than it already does. The 4 quadrant political compass is also pretty useless. We won't be able to clearly orientate for a while.

Trump is one thing but I’m getting real sick of constantly seeing/hearing Elon’s retarded ass. Billionaire or not, he fits the definition of “lolcow” to a T.
I just want to hear my engine.
For me it’s all the computer shit automating EVERYTHING in the car. If I want to open the doors I’m satisfied with pulling a fucking handle rather than having to authenticate a code like I’m logging into the dark net or some shit. The more computerization the more opportunity for fuckups and glitches.

But also, yeah, gas powered cars are cool and simple and electric cars are nerdy and gay.
