BPD isn't really a condition that you medicate, medications can help but it is primarily a personality issue that requires serious therapy. Looks like some doctors do prescribe this specific medication for BPD... Unless this person is referring to Bipolar Disorder, in that case that is not a good thing to take by itself because Bipolar people tend to respond horribly to SSRIs without an accompanying mood stabilizer.
