"Mad at the Internet" - a/k/a My Psychotherapy Sessions

Supermarkets and department stores existed pre-prohibition. The bigbox stores started in the 60's.

Does Kmart or Super Kmarts still exist? I know years and years ago they shut all the ones in our area down.

Personally I use Amazon for many retail items but refuse to let them delivery groceries, or use Walmart 'order your shit and park here' as they don't give a shit about the condition of produce. Free no bullshit returns on Amazon is very nice, often better deals than big box stores. More chinese variety too lmao

Kmart is dead dead afaik.
Hard agree that shopping for produce is an art that boxstore employees are not trained for. Whether it's a lack of time or care, they will just grab what's at the top of the bin.

>yfw you were born too late to be a professional elevator operator in a department store
All I wanted to do was stand there for eight hours cranking gates & pressing buttons :(

I get a decent amount of Amazon stuff, I like to buy my own groceries tho. If your order pickup you get shit produce.

Every day at work feels like the Tony Soprano "I came in at the end of things" speech.

I think the MATI Telegram preview got put behind the login wall again since the last show. I didn't see it mentioned. If this is a huge problem for you, consider bookmarking the relevant channels.

It would appear so. A few months back I gave up and just tossed Telegram on my phone and desktop. Amusingly I contacted an old friend via Telegram who lives on the other side of the world and have been having great conversations catching up on life.

New British Censorship law is going into place this year. The BBC, of course, is ready to cheer this on and in doing so they published an article of rdrama spin-off watchpeopledie.tv (a site too vile to be named, lol).
- It seems like they found activists who were upset about specific family members deaths, videos of which were hosted on wpd.tv among other places.
- They also know that a few people who used the site became spree killers.
- They end seething that the site is hosted in America and the powers don't go far enough.
Given this information they just expect people to clap and cheer about how the British government should police the entire Internet
Truly vile and deeply disturbing people, the Brits. It is funny when they have to admit that they don't rule the world anymore and can just seethe that other jurisdictions exist
The challenge for Ofcom is that the death website is hosted in the US and its owner and administrators remain anonymous.

Ofcom told us "this content is deeply disturbing".

In a statement, the website's admin team said it "routinely receives reports from many government agencies and industry watchdogs".
Admins have declared total Brit Death

WPD has a weird reddit culture. Half of them for some reason are screching about Trump. Others dunk on Britoids

Domestically (to the US), there are literally enough to count on your fingers and they exist more as novelty museums than a serious business venture, not unlike the last Blockbuster that held out for a long time. At least one exists in Puerto Rico (I'd have to look up if it is the only one), but they are literally in single digit numbers domestically. They have an extremely modest presence overseas and are successful enough to stay open, but not expand. They are well over 99% from their peak, but still around in the most marginal of capacities, something of a preservation of novelty.

department stores are not supermarkets

supermarkets can only exist with refrigeration and transportation tech that was not widespread until the 50s and not really profitable until the interstate system

there were supermarketyish things in CA as early as the 30s iirc but the canonical american supermarket doesn't become a regular part of middle class life in some places until as late as the late 60s

21:30 kiwifarms mentioned.

And they didn't even bring up that. Ackshually doxing is bad guys. Like all the commentary people seem to be mandated to do by deorio, or whover said if you don't say doxing is bad, doxing is bad, doxing is bad. Every time you say kiwifarms you can't be in the cool kids club.

Anyway. The video was actually pretty informative. Besides the obvious stuff he says to try to get you to keep watching. Goes over the Tesla.sexy stuff. And what actually happened. Because I just can't make myself care enough to look into all that stuff on my own.

At the end of the day it's drama slop. Just political drama slop. And some pretty obvious political spinning by people that hate trump, and musk. And tried doing whatever they could to get people upset about people looking into the finances of these organizations. I

This is how I imagine Peetz would kill Chantel if they were still together.
