Should we abort all children with Down's Syndrome? - Iceland does it! Do you hate abortion or tards more?

Iceland has a low rate of children born with Down syndrome primarily due to widespread prenatal screening and high termination rates following a positive diagnosis. The country offers nearly universal access to prenatal testing, and the vast majority of women who receive a diagnosis of Down syndrome choose to terminate the pregnancy.

I asked AI for more insight:
Key Factors Contributing to the Low Rate:

1. Prenatal Screening: Since the early 2000s, Iceland has offered optional prenatal screening to all pregnant women, typically in the first trimester. These tests include ultrasounds and blood tests, followed by more definitive diagnostic tests like chorionic villus sampling (CVS) or amniocentesis if a high risk of chromosomal abnormalities is detected.

2. High Termination Rates: Over 85–90% of women who receive a Down syndrome diagnosis choose to terminate their pregnancy. This is similar to trends in other European countries such as Denmark and France.

3. Healthcare and Genetic Counseling: The Icelandic healthcare system provides genetic counseling and information to expectant parents. Medical professionals discuss potential outcomes and options, which often influence parental decisions.

4. Societal and Cultural Factors: Iceland has a small, well-educated population with strong public healthcare services. There is also a cultural norm of relying on medical advice and scientific advancements to make reproductive decisions.

5. Legal Framework: Abortion is legal in Iceland up to 22 weeks of pregnancy, allowing women more time to make informed decisions based on genetic testing results.

I personally agree if a child has a major deformity they should be aborted. We don't need to be bringing anymore of that BS into the world.

My religious beliefs are against abortion but I've found that there are numerous medical reasons to, technically, "abort," a baby. My wife had an ectopic pregnancy, for example, and that also required a technical, "abortion," to save her life (though any reasonable person wouldn't consider it one).

I am only pro-abortion in cases where the mother's life is at risk or the child would be in such suffering that they would never be able to even attempt to live a fulfilling life. Both of these things are a case-by-case basis and the more information the mother can gather, to make an informed decision, the better, IMO.

That established, I am also very much aware that society, at large, doesn't hold my beliefs. Not wanting to bring a down syndrome baby into the world is something I can sympathize with and wouldn't judge anyone for stopping.

You... would be heavily surprised and disappointed how many people close to us use her life saving surgical procedure as an argument point against states that ban abortions. It pisses us both off to no end.
Same here. I argue against this all the time.

I should be more sympathetic and stick to what's important:

I'm sincerely sorry that the baby didn't make it. That is painful.

Yeah I feel like that should be an option. Not everybody has the money to take care of a kids with downs. The moral fagging surrounding the subject is so fake and gay.

"oh my reweetarded downsie is a gift to this life! you evil euginic supporting nazi! "
"Please ignore the fact that he's constantly attacking others and is a massive burden. He can't help it😢"

The funniest part is that the people talking about how they deserve to exist are probably the very people who add to their suffering.

I wonder if there is any way to tell whether a baby with downs syndrome will be intellectually disabled. There are some that end up being of normal intelligence or even moderately high intelligence, and it seems like kind of a shame to throw those people away when Tyrone, Pajeet, and Mehmed are all shitting up the world with their 85 IQs and producing more retard babies.

Down Syndromes are funny and I will use all forms of rhetoric and alternate to physical violence against eugenics-tards on this singular issue.

As someone with a family member that has downs? I can see both sides of the issue, but I think it's better off trying to help them be as productive as possible. So i'd oppose it if it was solely downs. now if theirs other issues? idk, it gets dicey from there.

1. They're unlikely to breed and produce healthy offspring.
 2. They shouldn't breed.
3. A Down's baby is not "free", it takes the place of these parents' wanted and healthy baby, one that will now not be born because the parents are taking care of the downie.

It seems unfair to kill defective white babies who are nevertheless superior to the average shitskin, but it's unfortunately a necessity, they're not an asset, they're a drain.

That said, it should be voluntary. Mandatory tard abortions or restrictions on tard abortions discourage women from going to the doctor and increase the probability something goes wrong. It's better to fund an occasional wanted tard than have scores of women lose their otherwise healthy babies to treatable complications because they were afraid The Establishment would misdiagnose them and order the baby's murder.

I wonder if there's so much prenatal screening in Iceland because it's the most inbred white country in the world.

Downies should be allowed to live. We can send them to farms to work as unpaid labor in exchange for food and housing. Pay some people to wrangle them and make them work. They have as much of a right as anyone to live, but they are also downies, so they aren't intelligent enough to understand or care about concepts like "freedom" or "enslavement".
