So vile to use your son as a prop to defend yourself against people (correctly) pointing out that he's a sex pest and an absent father. Isn't there a better way to spend time with your son during your biannual visit?
Destiny doesn’t love Nathan in the way a normal parent does. He recognizes that he’s supposed to love him, but that’s about as deep as it goes. Does he feel obligated to provide basic care? Sure. Does he have any real emotional connection beyond the expected baseline of responsibility? Doubtful. Does he view Nathan as a son first, or as another piece in his grand self-mythologizing narrative? The latter, 100%.
Nathan isn’t Destiny’s kid,
he’s an asset. A tool that Destiny can wield when necessary and ignore when inconvenient. He uses Nathan when he needs to prove he’s a responsible adult. He name-drops him when someone calls out his degenerate sex life. He takes a quick selfie visit once in a while so people don’t think he’s a deadbeat. Outside of that, Nathan might as well be an NPC in Destiny’s life, a background character that only gets dialogue when Destiny clicks on him.
This is the core issue that makes Destiny fundamentally incapable of being a good father. He doesn’t see people as people, he sees them as pawns in his personal chess game. Friends, orbiters, debate partners, ex-girlfriends, even his now ex-wife, they all serve a functional role in his ecosystem. When they outlive their usefulness, they get discarded, backstabbed, or thrown under the bus. This is a guy who treats people like chess pieces. You think his own son is immune from this?
Nathan’s just another piece on the board, except Destiny can’t fully discard him because even he knows that would be
too evil. So instead, he just minimally interacts with him enough to justify his presence while treating him like a rhetorical get-out-of-jail-free card.
And then there’s the “Don’t worry, I can be a sex pest while taking care of my son” statement.

That’s not just an ironic joke,it’s a psychological tell. A normal person would never say something like that in the same breath as mentioning their own child. Destiny is so detached from the gravity of fatherhood that he can casually conflate his kid with the public discussion of his sexual degeneracy.
No sane father says this. No emotionally attached, protective dad would even think to make that joke. Why? Because a real father sees his child as sacred. You don’t bring them into your public degeneracy. You don’t make them part of your internet slap fights. You don’t use them as a fucking bulletproof vest to absorb criticism.
The gremlin doesn’t have that protective instinct because he sees Nathan as an accessory to his life, not someone he needs to shield from it. Any normal human would see that tweet and think Destiny is insane, not ironic.
Nathan isn’t a person to Destiny, he’s a utility. Destiny treats everyone as disposable or functional, and his own son is no different. The fact that he publicly ties Nathan to his own sex scandals proves he lacks normal emotional attachment. Any normal human being would instinctively avoid bringing their child into any kind of public discussion about their sex life. Not Destiny. He needs Nathan there as a shield, a prop, a convenient answer to accusations of degeneracy.
At the end of the day, Nathan is just another piece of the Destiny Brand™, and that’s fucking tragic.
