Etherscan explanation of Dropped & Replaced

Dropped & Replaced Transaction

A transaction can get dropped and replaced when a newly created transaction with the same FROM account nonce is accepted and confirmed by the network. And because it has the same account nonce as the previous transaction, it replaces the previous txhash.

Common reasons a replacement transaction is broadcasted :

  1. The earlier transaction had a low gas price which would take a very long time to confirm, so a second transaction with a higher gas price was created to replace it
  2. The Ethereum Node that the wallet/service connected to was not fully synced, and an incorrect nonce was used
  3. User-initiated to replace or cancel a pending transaction
A transaction can be {Dropped} or {Dropped & Replaced}. For additional assistance, please contact the sender/transaction creator directly for more information.
Looks like Austin might've been scammed.

Edit: For crypto nerds, the original transaction had this input data:
Code:
Function: transfer(address _to, uint256 _value)

MethodID: 0xa9059cbb
[0]: 0000000000000000000000003c736854ac7cf8f24070aa3cec72b8471d1f9781
[1]: 0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000a7a16fd80

The replacement transaction has
Code:
0x
So essentially the contract couldn't execute, hence the failure.

Edit edit: Austin just leaked his DMs with Dallas begging for the money

AustinGambles waited since 6am to withdraw 45k to his crypto address, should be easy right?:
- Dallas said there was a problem with LTC
- Kept stalling him, said it would be soon
- Eventually after all day while he was taking out loans to gamble they gave him a CODE to deposit the money back into CHIPS that flashed on screen that anybody could've typed in.
- They then told him to convert it to a different cryptocurrency in Chips and he lost 2k converting the 45k.
- He then tried to make back the 2k and lost it all

You got a bit wrong there.
-The problem was not with LTC withdrawals but with USDT
-The code was connected to his account so only he could claim his failed withdrawal
-They never told him to convert it. He could have cashed it out in USDT as they resolved the problem they had

In Fortune's grasp, Bossmanjack did dwell,
With chips amassed, his coffers did swell.
Forty-five grand, a gambler's dream anew,
A sleek BMW in his Carvana view.
Yet fickle fate, in blackjack's cruel embrace,
Stripped wealth away, a swift, relentless race.
To Dallas he cried, "Rigged!" in bitter tone,
His livestream ceased, his triumph overthrown.

There's something that's extra disgusting watching these RAT bastards at chips not paying out bossman. It's not enough they prey upon mentally unstable degens to make money? They also have scam them on the .01% they actually make money, too? It's just too sadistic for me bros
It's Chips' money, Boss is just holding onto it for a minute :smug:

Dude, it’s raw money. I can pull out whenever I want. If you ran a casino, you wouldn’t want people just withdrawing the money after five minutes…

I love how he constantly explains/justifies the scam to his audience so often while being willfully ignorant that he’s getting fucked because his brain is so fried from past abuse. Either Chips is fucked up or his phone is dead any time he goes to withdraw.
