Which reminds me! I hesitated talking about how /cow/ tricked Jerry into thinking Ben Garrison was trying to murder him because it was pretty in retrospective, but the events leading up to it and the aftermath are pretty funny, so fuck it.

Around the "pedogeddon" incident in august 2015, this one guy went to Jerrys tumblr and warns him that 8chan and MisterMetokur are trying to fake nudes of him and post them around the internet while they're pretending to be Jerry. Jerry somehow believed this retard and his response was to tell people to hide all traces of them following him on youtube.
(Btw, Soarel seems to have a real 'tism problem going on given he claims people who disliked stockholm are "pushing fargothery", aka comparing them to the guy that gives you a ring at the start of Morrowind.)
In an attempt to divert him from the /cow/ threads, a ruse was quickly devised: Blame Ben Garrison for it. And what do you know, he fell for it hook line and sinker.

That image was sent to him shortly afterwards, and he fell for the bait hard. Because of this photoshop, he believed Ben Garrison was a legitimate threat to his safety and his career; even when people like Zennistrad said "it's probably not real", Jerry responded "There's a signature on the drawing, so it's gotta be real!"
I think he eventually figured out that it probably wasn't real, but lightning struck twice. An edit was made of Lizzy's "No wrong way to be a girl" gif on /cow/ and submitted to deviantart, which caused her to file a DMCA takedown, even though she approved of the "pro trans" message of the edit (which featured a half naked Nick Nyberg and Chris Chan wearing his mothers lingerie. Very empowering!)

To recap, an artist asked for credit on a piece of art used in a video. They likely did this in order to gain exposure. You know, because when a semi-popular youtuber uses a "cool" piece of art in their videos and shows who made said artwork, it would help the artist gain exposure and help them get more followers, and by extension, likely more commissions. Jerry seems fervently against this for some reason and justifies it because (8:47) "their artistic discipline is no more arduous or time consuming than any other artistic media. They don't suffer more than musicians, filmmakers, youtube, dancers, or writers", which is true, thing is, that's irrelevant. I really feel like he's digging too deep into this.

Some dA commission prices are pretty expensive. I'll give him that. Of course, not too many artists are as lucky as Jerry to have YouTube and Patreon to simultaneously earn them an income, and on occasion, a living.
I haven't really seen artists go out of their way to outright attack "smaller channels without the support [Jerry] has". And it doesn't help that Jerry didn't provide examples to this "Totally not an isolated incident" (which, if I am to be convinced that it isn't an isolated incident, I'd looove to see some events). It seems like Jerry is building up a strawmanphantom false perception of who a lot of artists are and bending it so it supports his argument. I mean, all I'd like is some proof.

I'd liken this to some form of manipulation, but that's a given at this point. The only thing we can do now is wait for that kaboom video and see if it's the tipping point, which it won't be

Keyword - Maybe. Realistically, I don't think there's much that I can side with Jerry on, aside from Conservatives being not all that smart and maybe a few more smaller things. I don't believe in disagreeing (or agreeing) with someone else, completely, 100%. That's what makes us human. Individuality.
Don't forget that he said he has some kind of "policy" when it comes to crediting artists and artwork, which he mentioned early on, I think.
Also don't forget: If he thinks a person is an asshole, then harassing them is completely justified, like with Ink Rose. But them 'harassing' you? Fuck that shit, they're neoreactionary scum!

It still boggles my mind why Jerry thinks giving an artist credit to a piece of art that they drew (see: Putting one link in your description) is such a big deal. He addresses this (9:00), saying that "even if he wanted to, he couldn't, because that only encourages this kind of behavior", with "this kind of behavior" essentially being some artist requesting a link to their work being posted. But he makes this point so sanctimoniously, he acts as if an artist asking for credit is like the Nazis ordering the Jews to wear the Star of David publicly in the Holocaust period. He's essentially warping this simple action to make it seem worse than it actually is. And the worst part is that his fans ate this the fuck up.
