Am I wrong to be disturbed by this? Before people say "hurr Western media is overrun with Didn't Earn It propaganda made by people who hate their audience so people went to Japanese media to get free from that!!1!", there really is no difference between mainstream anime and the latest raceswapped Western franchise entry in terms of writing quality -- the only difference is that one is coom-filled, plus the Gamergater types who crusade against DEI care more about coom than anything else, and pornbrain crap has been mainstream ever since the Fappening.
