Sort of. I mean this unironically and I'm not just making a Phil is gay joke, but he was arguably emotionally closer to PPP than he was to Khet. Like, saying you're in bed with your wife but talking with/watching someone else feels like the type of thing a cheater would tell to their "real" partner. And while it was really more about Phil's hermit side, him mentioning that he can't go down to Florida to hang out with PPP is also something a cheater would say when their other partner was trying to make the relationship more "real." To me, it seems pretty telling that instead of having a late night conversation with his wife, Phil was texting PPP at midnight-2 or 3 in the morning, with the majority of those texts basically being some variation of "you made my life so much better, because of you I've never been happier" etc. Phil also put in more effort to do stream stuff with PPP than with Khet. To be fair, PPP is an active streamer so that does make sense....but Khet used to be a streamer herself. And to be fairer, I get not wanting to stream with fat Khet, but he also didn't make much of an effort before she ballooned up and was less of a punch line.

As for him being the breadwinner, absolutely, no doubt about that. Phil is a weird type of greedy, he craves money, but he's also willing to throw it away on overpriced garbage if he thinks it'll bring him some form of status. Gaming statues/props, a car he drives once a week to places that are all more or less in walking distance, multiple cameras, consoles from companies he hates that he barely ends up using, deluxe editions of games he ends up wagequitting etc. Khet is basically just another purchase to him, to show that he's an adult.

His outlet is Champions/mobile games and booze. But as for how he decompresses...I don't think he does, hence how he's become the piglet he is today. Those things are how he spends his time off stream, but I genuinely don't even know if he enjoys them anymore. Maybe he gets a fleeting dopamine hit from Champions still, but I don't think it's actually enough for him to decompress. That's part of why he holds grudges and is constantly wound up so tightly and lashing out at people. We've seen in the DMs and gin tweets that detractors are really on his mind. He even mentioned his old grudges at one point with people like ProJared which was years ago at this point. And I'm not even talking ProJared's drama, which is already dated, but ProJared "insulting" DSP, it's basically ancient history in internet time and as far as I know, it was a pretty basic "DSP is bad at games" slight and not anything particularly severe, especially considering this is DSP we're talking about.

This is why several people have said that DSP needs a break from the internet and his job for like a full fucking month. And not a break where he's just glued to his phone on WWE champions the entire time, but go do something fucking different. He never takes any breaks from his job and although a high work ethic is considered "good" by some people its all for naught because he has been burned out for at least 5 or 6 years at this point.

I seriously think if he took a proper fucking break (even a week as a first step) his mental condition would improve significantly and he wouldn't be such a cunt.

If he doesn't take a break he's going to end up in a mental ward soon enough.

I would definetly not associate DSP with "high work ethic". Just because he is there and turns on stream, he barely does anything and often, very often just late. He also just wastes a lot of time in general.

He spends his whole life at home and he needs to eat pull some hogans so might as well turn stream on. He cleary has zero passion, he is just there, like a blob.

I must admit, seeing PPP so dejected after realizing how much money he made by trolling him made me chuckle. He really is a detractor now, knowing the shared feeling of seeing retards send him troll money just for Phil to ignore it and ruining the fun.

Whatever you think of PPP's whole gimmick, he knows the lore. He's gotten deep into the "detractor" community (that's a Phil term, maybe "common sense community" would be better). Someone like Gundam, who Phil seems to view as king of the detractors, doesn't really know or even care about Phil. He mocks Phil in a video once a year and moves on. But PPP will make references to detractor songs from years ago. He throws them in subtly enough that Phil used to miss them (or maybe he pretended to miss them, who knows?). This guy, I call him PPP, is fully integrated into the Snortex now.
