The only reason I'm guessing as high as I am is that SFWA might be willing to juice a member's numbers and trolls/drama channels might buy a copy to review it.

I can't prove it but I suspect so: Being an author is a big part of his identity and he is so egotistical that he would have thrown a fit on social media if he got forced out.
