This is just my bleeding-heart libtardedness talking, but I think poor people should have access to everything regular folk do without being judged for it. Of course there'll always be those who game the system, but painting everyone with the same brush is short-sighted at best.
Giving everyone the same outcome regardless of how hard they try means removing all incentives for good behavior. It's not theoretical since we all know how well it worked in the past.
I, however, knew two hours before the first bombs exploded that the attack might be coming. The reason I knew this is that Pete Hegseth, the secretary of defense, had texted me the war plan at 11:44 a.m. The plan included precise information about weapons packages, targets, and timing.
I hope they absolutely wreck this fucking clown. They should put him away for life and it seems like there are a few potential ways to prosecute him.

So wait these faggots were complaining that Trump wouldn't give them access to his shit, and now they are complaining that Trump DID give them access to a scoop?

I don't really see the issue here. Are they worried about OpSec? Because sure that is a issue but this fucker wastes so much time to get to the point I can't tell.

Also the FBI was using Signal back during the 1st Trump term and they used it to coordinate censorship on Twitter. We already know that. Why is he acting like this is new?

I liked this article. I think it accurately depicts the Right right now, as well as the underlying tensions that will definitely emerge as the years continue. On mobile so can't quite take snippets of the article that I like, but I highly recommend people read it. It's worth the minute.

Only in opposite world. If the government needs to recoup money it is unnecessarily paying out in benefits the easiest way to do that is to tax a portion of that disbursement. Means-testing is a better option though, just disqualify retirees worth X millions of dollars from receiving SS benefits. There will be hell to pay for that though. Try explaining to an old person recieving Social Security that they are on welfare and those monthly checks are welfare checks and see what they say.
If you are literally required to pay into something (on top of regular taxes) that you will only have access to when you retire. It is effectively a retirement program, and not just a welfare program. At which point why should someone be denied access when they've paid into it. Correct me if I'm wrong, but as far as I know you can't get benefits unless you've paid into it. Odd welfare program.

i mean, America can beat Russia. but at the same time like.. do we really want to go to WW3?
if America and Russia went to war there would be no winner because everyone would be dead. the principal of mutually assured destruction didn't go away because the Russians aren't soviets anymore, they still have nukes.

The issue is that it's not sometimes, it's clearly all the time. The obesity rates are already super high and rising. Contributing to it is murder.
Obesity has been a problem in this country since at least the 1900s. Where have you guys been?

The reactions to a potential soda ban in this thread tells me that there's a lot of people who don't know about the realities of financial hardship or how SNAP/EBT works. They just see that blacks are on it, the "NIGGERS could be here" alarms in their heads go off, and then they start eating up every wrong conservative talking point about it.

Quit frankly I don't understand how the Dems haven't realized that focusing on the H1-B/Visa issue is the best way they have to breaking of the collation between MAGA and Big Tech.

And its not like it won't get some easy wins! The whole thing of truck being driven by 3rd world retards and causing crashes is a pretty big deal.

It has been announced that Mia Love, the first person elected to Congress from Utah, the first Haitian-American elected to Congress, and the first Black woman elected to Congress as a Republican has died at the age of 49. She was in office from 2015 to 2019.
Wasn't the biggest fan of hers but she has my respect for outliving her brain tumor prognosis by two years. So young to be hit with a tumor.

I'm thinking gayops. Alleged top secret military secrets are shared on Signal (for some reason), but it's about an operation that already happened, so there's no way it leaking could harm the United States. This is nonetheless a problem. The government will begin cracking down on Signal and Telegram kinds of messaging software so it never happens again.

The biggest reason I'm assuming gayops is because Vance and Hegseth are writing to each other in a pretentious way congruous with their current public image.
Multi stage gayops.

They leak something that won't affect anything, that they already want out, and now they have an excuse to ban signal/telegram from all government systems. It's win/win/win for them.

I'm going to say this not as an attack, because I think you're being genuine. But no that's a absolutely retarded position to have on this debate. People don't judge others merely because they are the recipient of social welfare, they are judged by their behaviors. A single mother left widowed by an accident needing financial assistance to care for herself and her child is one thing. Being a 40 something welfare queen with 6 keeds that you had no right or intention to raise outside of them being extra checks is undefendable.

Welfare programs are good because they can help people in unpredictable/unstable situations. However they need to be strictly regulated and the recipients need to be reminded that these systems are to help them through a trying time and not a fucking tug boat that they can leech off of forever. The current system is too bloated and corrupted by bad actors and abusers. I know what mindset you're coming from, 'better the down on their luck people get what they need even if it means the leeches get some too.'. but that's how we have been operating for a long time and now the situation is too far gone. The leeches outnumber the needy and poor, they take so much that there's less for those who actually need it. So no, the system needs to be dismantled entirely so it can be rebuilt and we can implement stronger vetting and regulations. Tough problems require tough solutions, some will hurt in the short term but it's only more to their benefit later. Fix the system and those who really need it and benefit from it will be thankful.

This is why I hate orgs like FIRE. God forbid they will fight for your actual rights, no, the only thing they will throw their weight behind is forcing trannies to molest your kids.

This is one of those things a bit of "malicious compliance" can solve pretty easily.

The court says the board "can't enforce the ban." No problem. If tranny time is part of a bigger event, the board can simply cancel the event citing vague "security concerns" without even mentioning the ruling. If it's actually its own special event, they can impose absurd requirements on the group(s) putting it on (stricter security accommodations, etc.) under the guise of "protecting participants and spectators from [vaguely defined threats]."

Of course, the board could also just greenlight a protest to coincide with the event too. Lots of opportunities to comply with the court while openly fucking with these perverts anyway.

Most likely explanation is usually true, therefore this is probably a result of r/GlowieFeds trying to start something, but lacking funds(USAID) and the manpower to do anything better than a Nikolas Talbott tier "trust me bro" discord/whatever screenshots that can easily be faked.
do you think they will find the person faster than jan6th bomber

I hope they parade him around and make their trial a living hell. Somebody needs to serve as an example.

Think they could’ve been trying to flush out a leaker?
It sounds like it was more "oh gosh darn we ACCIDENTALLY let this not-hostile journalist know we're about to (have already) bombed the shit out of a bunch of terrorists that have been attacking our assets and allies in the middle east in a cybersecurity incident for a chat program we don't administrate, darn it to heck, they'll have to just report on that thing we want people to know while we block this chat program that leakers abuse the shit out of that we don't control. Oh well, can't be helped, have to do it."

They just see that blacks are on it, the "NIGGERS could be here" alarms in their heads go off
Sorry, is the volume too loud on mine? I could turn it down if it's bothering you. I don't even notice it anymore.

This is what they kept doing to Milo when he was doing his college tours, wasn't it? Just keep bringing up new, vague, expensive requirements until you successfully run out the clock and the event can't be held. But conservatives love muh principles more than they love losing, so I doubt you would see them push for that.
