I wonder if she'd be put in an actual group home with no Internet, or if they'll put her in the same kind of assisted living situation...
Realistically, almost definitely the latter, although I would imagine that she'd have her Internet access curtailed somewhat. Most group homes (which I used to work in, although that was mostly over a half-decade ago) do have Internet access, even if the majority of residents aren't intellectually capable of using it do anything beyond using Roku at most. In general, free association is considered a basic human right that can only be restricted entirely with extreme justifications, but there's going to be a block list with what are considered "reasonable" limitations, and that would definitely include New Zealand's finest Paleognathes.
Personally, just based on what I've seen here and in her thread starter, I really doubt that's enough. In spite of research generally pointing to a higher prevalence than in the broader population, it's extremely rare for Autists on the more severe end of the spectrum to be evaluated for personality disorders, especially Cluster B conditions. You can teach clinicians that they need to screen, but you can't get them to stop thinking that everyone with a developmental disability is heckin innocent and child-like to have
bad people mental illnesses. It's got to be very serious, and very obvious, for them to get tested. That's assuming they can even understand the screening instruments, which isn't a given in a case like this.
She won't be barred from going online, but she really should be. Most Autistic Borderlines are, for unknown reasons, less severe to the point where they have, on average, fewer Autistic traits than people with a sole ASD
or BPD diagnosis. When both comorbidites are this bad, though, Internet access needs to be either very strictly controlled or cut out altogether. Gullibility, romantic/sexual obsession, impulsivity, and potentially deadly self-harm don't mix well with talking to strangers, especially for groups that are more likely to be preyed upon by extortionists, traffickers, etc.
We're joking about her bathtub and speculating that she's Petulant (which, comorbid NPD all but confirms that). If she runs into the wrong 764 spin-off, some 16 year old twink from South Dakota is going to take advantage of her gullibility to convince her that there's a pipe bomb in the drain on that bathtub, and that she's got four hours to carve "BPD cum dumpster whore" on her chest and do a selfie-shoot before it goes off. I'm not very invested in her well-being, but her guardians sure as hell should be.
