I hope she's not referring to this Signal "leak". The Supreme Court already ruled on this back in the Pentagon Papers days, it's not illegal. Besides, if anything classified was being discussed on Signal then the people discussing it were breaking numerous laws not an incidental recipient. Anybody else making that mistake would've immediately lost their clearances and been escorted from the building permanently at best.

If someone accidentally mails classified documents to a journalist the journalist has an ethical obligation to publish in almost every case.

The bigger story is that whoever inadvertently included Goldberg in the recipient list (if it was inadvertent) then that means that person has used Signal before to communicate (leak) to Goldberg. I'm not saying it's Mike Waltz but it's Mike Waltz.

I'm replying to his whining about single mothers, not trying to describe the WIC program, thanks. Unless you think there are single mothers who are starving in America because they don't have food (I do not), it's beside the point.

Fair enough, though, you're right that not all single mothers are automatically eligible for the entire childhood of their children.
Cool. The info was for you and for anyone else who might be reading. If x is going to be a discussion topic (which it might or might not be, but since it came up: ) it's important that people are actually grounded in what the thing they're debating or criticizing or making assessments of is.

If the government made a signal clone it wouldn't work, cost a billion dollars, and would probably maime you like everything else the government touches.
Hello, based department?
Still bummed the Gorilla Channel isn't real. Feels bad man.
Tell me about it. I thought it was all a joke until I caught a few clips of gorillas out there gollirai'n.
She's so fucking ugly.
I'll page the arbiter of truth on the subject. @The Last Stand, smash or pass Maxine Waters?
There is plenty of footage of Detroit on YouTube.
There used to be a guy who'd upload videos of him driving through random Detroit neighborhoods at night. As a wise man once said, it's a jungle out there.

I believe her post is related to something else. There was some other press release that caught my eye, that the DoD was going to crack down on leaks and the like.

There are a few things like that, i linked a 24 hour kitten sanctuary stream in a cats thread the other day.
There was also hello cat which was the 24 hour live feed of cats eating in China where you could super chat to give the cats more food and treats via an automatic system. But then the Chinese went crazy and started putting out hits to kill the cats live on the stream

Publishing any classified documents regardless of acquisition is a felony and one of the secret tiers higher than felony if you actually have clearance.

Fuck it I m gonna tag @Null yo feeder you are opposed to welfare because white english men like vordrack and the mountain jews are paid to exisit and use the system to harass you....Do I have that right?
I have nothing positive to say about the welfare system. Everyone able bodied should work or die. Cripples should be forced to find a willing sponsor.

If drug companies aren’t allowed to advertise on tv (and they shouldn’t be) then that will decimate the networks. Which needs to happen.

I have no idea what happened here but if it was a legit “leak” it’s not really saying anything new tbh. Mainly that Euros are pathetic and poor.

Hell it might be EVEN BETTER if it was a true and honest leak since it means Vance has the same ideas/thoughts in private as he does out in public.

We might actually get a up and coming politician that doesn't stab his people in the back.

I'll refer you to New York Times Co. v. United States, 403 U.S. 713 (1971), the Pentagon Papers case.

PENTAGON-2-jumbo.webp

Goldberg is a POS like his mother Lucianne Goldberg (remember her?) but he did exactly what he was supposed to. They were probably counting on it.

[EDIT: I have the wrong Goldberg, I really thought Jonah was the recipient and not Jeffery Goldberg]

Jeffrey Goldberg isn't Lucianne's son. You're thinking of Jonah Goldberg, late of National Review.

Sorta kinda true. 1st parties, those who receive the files through normal means as part of the government apparatus/jobs, can't publish even/especially if it was accidentally sent/received. A random low level government office drone receiving TOP SECRET: PLANS TO NUKE CHINA on their email can't disseminate that shit without facing the government's full irritation.

2nd parties, such as wikileaks and journalists in general, have infinitely more protection. The only time you can really stop them from publishing secret information during war has been essentially defanged since Vietnam, and doubly so during the War on Terror. Even then, the government would have to actually no bullshit declare war in order to flex any of it's legal censorial powers, and even then that might not be enough considering how broad and universal 1A rights are against the government (what they were actually designed for as well).

Since the journo wasn't a government employee with certain expectations, he can't be prosecuted. Whoever added him however certainly could be.
