You get a B.

1. There's some artifacting you could clean up with solid colors, bit that's more of a nitpick.
2. Overall pretty good job on the masking but there are spots where you were overzealous or too conservative. That said most of it was fairly minor compared to what I've been seeing of late.
3. I would recommend trying to preserve the outer linework, and color correcting it to a darker shade if the input image has it be a non-black color.
4. I would also recommend using some sort of filter on the background to cartoonify it as stylisticly it does clash with your Ocs.

TL;DR - There's room for improvement but easily meets the acceptable minimums.

I grabbed intentionally low res character images, found a shit png maker online to do them brainlessly and reduced them even further. Then stuck them on a stolen wedding picture and filtered the whole thing to increase the resolution and smooth the lines.
I got a B in less time than it took to explain my work lmao
