It’s part of the ongoing issue of Stickers being used to manufacture consent on the Forum.

I feel like this site, by virtue of being a dumping ground for those censored elsewhere, attracts people who are used to being contrarian. That is, people who are mostly impervious to (and perhaps even invigorated by) public disapproval.

I think the issue is when stickers are used to inform moderator decisions, which I have seen. That is, a moderator will see a poster consistently getting negative ratings and then decide to thread-ban them. That’s not something the average user can just grow up and ignore because it removes them (even if only temporarily) from the conversation.

Except way worse because the farms has only 20 posts per page, and the amount of space taken up by avatars/taglines/join dates/etc means that a small shitpost (like this one) consumes lots of space. KF without stickers would be a disaster.
