I always find it hilarious that despite claiming she's a proud democrat who prefers a fair campaign, she loves employing the dirty tactics that the stereotypical corrupt politicians use. In the past few months alone she's straight up launched a smear campaign against her opponent on Twitter, tried to use fear mongering to manipulate people into voting for her, and she's lied about literally every single aspect of her life in an attempt to hide her hideous incompetence. I honestly think that Wu has literally no fucking clue about what actual politics are like, and instead has based her entire political career on stereotypes from cartoons.

Wu's not so much playing with fire by trying to play politics as she is trying to grab hold of the sun with a woolen glove.

See, when it comes to politics its called managing the press for a reason. It's inevitable they will write shit about you, it's about making sure that the number of papers that do so is quite minimal. Or you pull a Spicer and begin beating them around the head by denying them access, not a lot of politicos will be saying it publicly, but they're enjoying Spicy's performances.

The funny thing is Wu's dealt with pleb-tier news outlets by dealing with gaming and tech press. They're always desperate for content and so will bend over backwards for people who do stuff even if they're basically useless scammers like Wu.

In politics this relationship is (usually) reversed when it comes to the usual greasy pole climbers, the journos are the ones in charge and quite a few will cheerfully play gatekeeper in exchange for you dropping the odd bit of info here or there (You usually get a decent meal out of it though). Wu however, blithely assumes she can back channel and cajole like she always has done but right now she has basically nothing to offer to the press except a few chuckles like the Moonstory.

Right now Wu really is becoming the comedy candidate who can be pointed to for summing up why the Democrats are losing their way.
