I don't think this "math hobbyist" understands what common denominator is. You need to establish common denominator when you add or subtract fractions.
Imagine you have 1/4 (one-fourth). "Upper" part is called numerator, lower part is called denominator.
Now imagine you want to add:
1/2 + 1/4
You need common denominator which is a common multiple of our denominators (a number which can be divided by both denominators - in this case the lowest common denominator is 4):
1/2 + 1/4 = 2/4 + 1/4
Now that we have a common denominator we add numerators:
2/4 + 1/4 = 3/4.
Outside of mathematics "common denominator" is a list of shared features and is in no way offensive.

I literally presented a weird math glitch on KiwiFarms before the site went full retard. KiwiFarms was like a 4/10 then and a 0/10 now. In comparison, TimeandDate and The Weather Network is like a 7/10. No website is above a 7/10 nowadays except maybe for that Yume Nikki fan project.
