Same reason that he plays any game that isn't a walking simulator or the most recent hyped thing: A whale bought it for him and promised to give him money every stream.
Tbh I'm surprised he hasn't tried playing a game like The Isle where you play as a dinosaur on an open world map and the only thing you do is trying to survive. Would be fucking hilarious to watch him play as a T-Rex thinking he's gonna wreck everyone's shit only to get a pack of Raptors or Dilo's to slowly bleed him out.

He got $130 10 minutes into Disco Elysium tonight. Goal hit. I’m assuming that’s OIC.

His modern fighting games/FGC rant, which he seems to give once a day recently, is the worst of the worst of his “takes.” Nonsensical, self-serving, poisonously angry. Unbearable. Get laryngitis or throat cancer, Phil. Speak less.

That whole rant was the mating call of every scrub, no matter the game, on the planet.

>Says he evolved from the King Of Hate
>Calls people retards and sluts
More like the King of Fake
What's even funnier is he keeps saying the King thing never went away, but old DSP is gone but still says all this shit.
It's another situation where Phil has no real morals and just says shit. That pathway nonesense was just about as much bullshit as this too.

He is always going to be a deceiving nigger.

Swishtreats is 100% a sock. Account created in November.

I love how he thought that the FGC agreed, sorry, aggreed, with him in that one video when he completely missed the point on what they "agreed" on. When pros say that all fighting games are boring and the same, it's a game design issue, not a "peepol learn too fast" issue. Fighting games simplify and homogenize all characters to basically be the same so everyone ends up playing the same because the game is as shallow as a piss puddle, it has nothing to do with how fast the community learns the game. Virtua Fighter 5 was one of the first games that had shittons of resources available online for anyone to learn, Virtua Fighter 4 on PS2 had a tutorial that taught you every single mechanic and piece of tech in the game. When you watch contemporary tournaments of VF5, the top guys play differently even if they're playing the same character. Akira has the shortest moveset and someone like HomestayAkira plays completely differently than someone like Ohsu, where the former is a very aggressive player with a relentless offence while Ohsu plays a more tight, defensive and reactive game. It's because the game is complex enough to allow for people to express themselves differently despite having the same knowledge of the game and their own character.

Can you do a tldr for Phil. His smooth brain won't be able to comprehend what you just wrote.

That's wild, though I wonder if that video is an outlier case. I assumed even Phil was making at least $3 CPM based on the amount of ads Youtube crams into videos. Combining his main channel and dspreacts takes him slightly above 500,000 monthly views. As for Patreon, graphtreon showed him making $330 off of 35 patrons back in December 2023. I just wanted to ballpark what Phil makes/expects to make this year, which is:

$300 beggar's tax x 6 days/week = $1,800
$1,800 x 52 weeks = $93,600
est. 500,000 views/month at $3 CPM = $1,500
$1,500 x 12 months = $18,000
est. $300/month Patreon = $3,600

It seems like if he can keep the incessant begging and drama going he'll make close to $120,000 this year.
The CPM is depending on which topic you are doing content. For Gaming it is apparently 2.5 $ at the moment. Other topics can get you a CPM up to 15$. Also you have to keep in mind the CPM can still vary depnding on the popularity of your content. Minecraft, Fortnite and so on can perhaps net you a higher CPM and with that more revenue.

Also I find it funny that DSP, if the calculation is true makes around 120k a year when creators like Markiplier make more then that in a month. Yes apples and oranges I know but still funny. Also I am not sure if the CPM actually applies fully to Phil. My understanding is that it is calculated per video. So if you shit out tons of videos that don't even hit 1.000 views you probably make nothing on it. Plus his main channel views have dipped below 300k this year (probably because he deleted some stuff but now seems to be slowly climbing back to 500k if socialblade is to be believed)

Today's rant about his Amazon purchase was extremely dented. He could not understand why Amazon can't cancel an order that's already shipped. How fucked in the head do you have to be to not understand this? The funny part is, I wouldn't be surprised if he gets banned from Amazon, because from the outside looking in it sounds like he is trying to scam them. But no, he just went full retard.

Here it is for anyone curious (4:05):

Sandwich shop pros aren't agreeing with Phil that sandwich shop business is getting boring and bland because all the resources how to set up your own sandwich shop are available online. They're saying the suppliers of bread, meat, veggies are all making it so all sandwiches taste the same, and government regulations have been put in place that says you can only have a certain look, presentation, and marketing style so all sandwich shops are starting to lose their own identity.

Of course Phil would think this. He's a scrub. He wants to learn as little as possible, jump online, beat as many inexperienced players as possible, then sit on his high rank. He obviously hates when players learn fighting games too fast because then he has to actually try to win instead of smurf his way through matches. It's a shit take from Phil that has nothing to with him, since, in his own words, he's no longer a part of the FGC, so why the fuck does he care?

It's just his 08'er mindset tarding up like usual. He just misses the days when you could spam your way through Super Turbo and call yourself good.

It's easy af to return stuff to Amazon. You can drop it off at whole foods, UPS, or an Amazon locker, which are all over WA.
So he reorders it because the item isn't showing up on time but then spergs out because the 1st package is already on the way and they can't magically interrupt the delivery process. Amazog put their faith in the pigroach to return the item and gave him an early refund, then he tries to weasel his way out of actually returning the item. Hope he does get banned.

I think that is general consensus. He was pulling over $250,000 in his peak and has nothing to show for it.

Who even cares about peak? The bigger alarm is that he was pulling in well over $120k a year for like 5-6 years with next to zero business expenses and didn't adjust his living expenses or do anything and still had to declare bankruptcy and even after he declared bankruptcy was still spending out the ass on literally nothing.

He had plenty of chances to change his shit up and make a piggy bank but didn't do anything. So it's disingenuous to just say he made bank in the early days of YouTube, he has been making bank every fucking year compared to what he actually produces. $120k a year is not an insubstantial amount of money whatsoever, he just wants to make infinite amounts and spend infinite amounts.

The DSP tips tracker is no longer updated by the look of it, but with the KC injection of income I wouldn't be surprised if DSP cleared $160k+ in the last 365 days.

edit: and just remember when everyone says "nothing to show for it" its even bigger than that because he has paid fuck all of his home loan all these years and while he has gotten some equity due to the market price increasing it (i.e. he did nothing to get that) it is such a state of disrepair that he probably wouldn't even be able to sell it or do anything with it.

With the way the US economy is going the market value of his house could actually decrease in the very near future and the khando could be worth less than he is paying for it. I theorized this might happen ages back but I think most people disagreed with me but its certainly possible now. People have been saying he's been talking about refinancing the house and shit which he already can't do because of the condition it is in, but if the market value of it drops enough then he's really stuck with it (not necessarily fucked though).

You don't like his Flea Market setup? Phil just needs his greasy gold chain and a striped shirt to tell you all about his bargains today.
Phil thinks that the more shit you own, the better you are. Remember his time with Leanna, with figurines and gamer crap everywhere, tens of thousands of dollars burned on junk he couldn't keep from buying, but then eventually couldn't show because he couldn't cosplay as a poor guy who needs your tips?

Hes so proud that he's got 20 uncoordinated things crammed in his background, with the random soundproofing foam and the "Philamania" shirt hanging so it only shows "Hilaman" on screen. How can anyone think he's got some great setup when he's too dumb to even do the most basic layout (expect him to fix it after he reads this)? He always blows thousands of dollars, throws it randomly out there to flex, and thinks that makes him king.

Sorry for going with back-to-back posts but they are totally different topics.

You make some strong points here. I think your financial assessment is on target. Phil, again, got extremely lucky through nothing he did because housing values shot up insanely, giving him at least $200,000 in home equity he didn't have before. If he wasn't a spending and gambling addict, he'd own his house free and clear now or be able to sell it for a huge profit. But being Phil, instead he's eagerly awaiting taking equity from his house and spend, spend, spending it. Political sperg incoming. He's going to get a rude awakening when he does that and his god-savior Trump tanks the economy (political sperg ending), leaving him looking at bankruptcy part 2.

Without wanting to :politisperg: too much and start an actual politics discussion, I'm just writing this in the khantext of DSP land:

I think he already fucked up and missed the boat. Unless my reading of the room is wrong then the economy/real estate market in parts of the US is going to tumble quite a lot. The stock market has been highly unstable for a while now and it seems somewhat likely everyone is in for a rough few years. I can really see it as being highly plausible that his property loses like 20-30% value in as little as 6 months. For certain that isn't guaranteed but if he wanted to make use of that equity he should've done so ages ago, its very likely too late now.
I could of course be wrong and the economy could stabilize, it's sort of like reading a magic 8 ball though, but the general sentiment I'm reading across the board about the economy is certainly not positive right now - which if we're just going to limit the scope of politisperging to DSP land means that his equity is either at risk or already lost because he won't be able to do anything with it until its too late.

Regardless of the economic situation, even if he somehow gets the $200k we all know he's going to do fuck all with it and not pay off his outstanding tax, fix the house and all of that shit. Between the current house condition (needing an entire kitchen refit as well as probably 2-3 bathrooms and probably new carpet throughout the house and whatever else) there probably wouldn't even be much left of $200k by the time all that shit is done.
People say the maximum amount he can have on the tax payment plan is $100k so I'm going to guess he already has a decent amount bundled up in that.

If the economy falters then for sure people aren't going to be spending as much money on shit like YouTube subscriptions and tipping streamers.

DSP was legit tracking ~90k or less last year before KC so when PPP says they gave him at least 50k he isn't kidding it will be more like 100k by the end of this year because he is still getting much more then pre KC. His YT is absolutely at or under 1k a month now and he tanks his own metrics for discoverability with how he manages his stream VODs. Post vest streak pre KC DSP was like a wounded animal happy to get $100 a day for his 10 hour shift now if he doesn't get $300 he is sperging the next day.

Property value means fuck all to DSP because even if he gets a refinance he will just blow all that money instantly and be back in the hole so it's pointless. He openly says he wants to redo his kitchen if he gets a refinance aka a totally pointless thing that he just wants to do it to do it. Remember he also pays the fucking minimum (on everything) when he could've easily paid it off years ago.

If you went up to him and gave him $1 million right now it would be gone in 6 months max and his house wouldn't be paid off.
