The sad irony is that it is very likely that a large amount of the Teslas being trashed / damaged in "protest" these days belong to people that aren't politically aligned with Musk.
Trying to attack a tesla driver has 2 outcomes.
1. They don't fight back in which case your hitting another gay liberal which risk knocking some sense into them.
2. They are conservative and armed.

Stumbled across a YT vid, called "America Won’t Survive Trump’s Second Term—Here's Why" by "Economic Circuit". Looking through that channel, another vid is about why the UK should rejoin the EU, and other economic "doomer" vids. So, is "America Won’t Survive Trump’s Second Term—Here's Why" full of BS? Do not wanna watch big "video essays" now.

TLDR of the video:
Modern civilization shouldn't be compared to ancient civilizations as the foundation to arguments and historical collapse; believe it or not. Hell, even the "dark ages" resulted in an explosion of innovation once germ theory was generated. BRICS is brought up, tariffs bad has an entire chapter, supply chains are shifting away from America, countries are realizing they don't need the US support, OP is skeptical that America will maintain its relevance, honestly, everything he is stating is a 'very bad thing guys' is something I was wishing for since 2006. Then they continue to touch on the National Debt "crisis" which like global warming I was told 10 years ago that 10 years from then we'll have a crisis to deal with. They then use the same doomer argument that Trump wants Tax Cuts to use on Infrastructure spending and military spending without any acknowledgement of the cleaning crew of rag tag autism gang cleaning up the efficiency of our government and freeing up "billions and billions of dollars."

Essentially, the video fails to acknowledge the fact that empire collapses aren't always a bad thing; Berlin wall coming down in 1990. Then of course you have "think of the farmers" the newest crop, heh, of emotional appeal. They are essentially the leftist foil to Moon another content creator I don't really enjoy anymore.

TLDR of the TLDR of the video:
Globalism good, Isolationism bad.

The news is going from saying Trump is a Putin Puppet for not hitting Putin hard enough. Now he's a Putin Puppet for threatening Putin.

I have a challenge for everyone reading this: try saying "Putin Puppet" 10 times fast. It's quite the tongue twister.

"Trump ‘very angry’ at Putin’s remarks on Zelensky" (archive). This article is pretty balanced, but others out there are deranged.
President Trump said he is “very angry” and “pissed off” at remarks Russian President Vladimir Putin made Friday about Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky, suggesting he is not a legitimate leader.

The president threatened to slap a new tariff on Russia if it is at fault for stalling an end “to bloodshed.”

“If I feel, if we’re in the midst of a negotiation, you could say that I was very angry, pissed off, when Putin said yesterday that — you know, when Putin started getting into Zelensky’s credibility, because that’s not going in the right location, you understand?” Trump told NBC News’s Kristen Welker during a phone interview on Sunday.

The Russian president said Friday that his Ukrainian counterpart does not have the legitimacy required for a peace deal signature and suggested an interim government is needed, The Associated Press reported. Ukraine’s 2024 presidential elections were postponed due to martial law amid the war with Russia.

Putin said any agreement signed on to by Ukraine’s government could receive pushback.

“Under the auspices of the United Nations, with the United States, even with European countries, and, of course, with our partners and friends, we could discuss the possibility of introduction of temporary governance in Ukraine,” he said Friday, according to the AP, later saying that “democratic elections, to bring to power a viable government that enjoys the trust of the people, and then begin negotiations with them on a peace treaty” would be able to happen via the temporary governance.

Trump said he feared the call for a new leader would delay a peace deal.

“But new leadership means you’re not gonna have a deal for a long time, right?” the president asked Welker.

He then said if the Kremlin’s stance hampered peace negotiations, Russia would be hit with another round of sanctions.

“If Russia and I are unable to make a deal on stopping the bloodshed in Ukraine, and if I think it was Russia’s fault — which it might not be — but if I think it was Russia’s fault, I am going to put secondary tariffs on oil, on all oil coming out of Russia,” Trump told NBC News.

In the first months of his second term, Trump and his administration have made a big push to end the war in Ukraine, meeting with people from both sides of the war even in the face of controversy about the countries’ actions.

On Sunday, Trump said he also “was pissed off” about Putin’s comments about temporary governance and that his anger about Putin’s comments had been made known to Moscow.
It's fucking mind-blowing that people in this thread (including me) pointed out that Trump wanted to tard wrangle Zelenskyy before tard wrangling Putin, and "experts" couldn't suss it out.

And even better in both scenarios there are camera's FUCKING EVERYWHERE recording it all it.

Kind of honestly surprised that that old women that got cut off and physically attacked in AZ didn't end up blowing away the attacker.

Some truths are going to be real the way the judiciary worldwide are making their moves. I'd rather have 30 years of Vance rule than something fake and gay resembling muh democracy:

And this is why America is the greatest country on Earth. TPTB tried to tarnish Trump by digging for the slightest hint of a financial crime and charging him in a rigged court case. 34 felonies later he is still able to run because the constitution didn't say anything about felons and Trump was able to win the presidency because the people actually like the guy. TPTB try again in France and now Le Pen is going to jail and her political career is officially over because their legal and political system is beyond fucked.

The Founding Fathers were true visionaries with their writing of the constitution and during Trump's reign we can restore that vision.

While you aren't wrong, as a result of the Government's failure to perform under the Nuclear Waste Policy Act (NWPA) of 1982 as amended, while that office may exist in the Department of Energy under the Office of Nuclear Energy, there really isn't any work that can be done. The NWPA specifically requires a geologic repository at the site known as Yucca Mountain in order for any meaningful consolidation or transportation of spent nuclear fuel on its way to ultimate disposal. Absent a legislative change, the position is functionally devoid of any authority, decision making or otherwise.

P.S.: the guy is a total faggot.

The French system still works on the assumption of guilt. The accused must prove their innocence.

The ease with which innocent men were railroaded in that kind of system was the main reason why the American system was based on the assumption of innocence. It is far harder to prove someone guilty on a false charge than to prove yourself innocent beyond doubt.

So Biden appointed a DEI queer to an obscure position that has no function or responsibilities and the guy still manages to fuck up so badly that the Biden admin had no choice but remove him? It is actually pretty impressive.

Boomers still believe in the infallibility and credibility of institutions like media, academia, legal system. Basically if the television hates Trump that must mean he's bad.

the boomers that raised me believed that the feds had infilitrated everything and would sell you to promote their own career and nothing on the TV was true

this is probably why I'm a relatively chill person, it's nice knowing that the people who raised you were basically right about everything

Bit of a tangent but it blows my mind that the USA went to all the expense of building a nice safe secure nuclear waste storage facility in the middle of nowhere, somewhere that huge quantities of the stuff could be reliably stashed away for the long term. And then people who don't understand nuclear energy at all managed to prevent it being used.

It reminds me when I was approached by a Friends of the Earth fundraiser in the street one time and when he challenged my pro-nuclear stance with "but what do you do with the waste?" his face when I said "bury it" was sheer disbelief. I might as well have said "feed it to kids" the horror on his face.

I think we can all agree that executing the CEO of MasterCard/Visa should have been Trump's day one priority, like walking straight out into the crowd after the oath with a 45 and shooting at them kind of urgent.
It doesn't directly affect him, so he sees no need for drastic action, nor can he sympathize with people who are affected by the Credit Card monopoly and its grip on all American life.

I have Nulls answer on why this thread is so popular. Clearly it's unemployed alcoholics answering bait at 2am on a Monday.
A Kiwi thread just works for discussing political content. All I need to get an idea of what's being discussed in the news is to click through the highlights since the last time I logged on and skim the remaining posts.

Throw in a some quality glownigger doom posting and decent joke posts and you end up with a never ending infotainment news letter.
