What's really great about this attitude is that Karl also said that it was great he was being sued in AUS instead of the USA (the country with the strongest speech protections), for the reason that in the AUS the loser pretty much always pays all legal fees. So not only does he have far weaker speech protection, he also has far higher risk of being damaged if losing the case. Massive miscalculation and hubris, he really had no reason to be so cocky.

That said I watched all of jobst videos on the case as they were out and I genuinely don't recall the suicide being mentioned at all, indeed he spun it around the idea it was still over the cheating accusations with stuff like "muh red stick" video and him asking for his viewers to help donate for his legal fees. Which is pretty fucking funny considering how hard he blasted completist over his bullshit.

He covered a lot of Billy Mitchell and TwinGalaxies, but he did not in any way properly separate what Billy was suing other people for and what exactly he was suing Karl for.
While I did know the accusation of causing Apollo's death to some degree was part of it, I did not understand until I read the full verdict that really was the ONLY thing the entire case hinged on and that Karl did not plead a defense to prove that statement as true or even tried to explain why he had a good reason believe it true at the time he mentioned it.

Did he intentionally conflate all lawsuits and his own? Can't say for sure, but he did avoid mentioning what exactly he was being sued for or sharing the court documents with the public to show what exactly was going on.

Do I like that Billy won? No, I think he is a very unlikeable person.
Did he deserve the win based on what the judge explains in his ruling? Absolutely.

Even watching the ruling live I could not get my head around the fact that the judge was siding with Billy, in the context of all the videos Karl created it did not make much sense to me how it could be possible for Karl to lose it. If Karl never had a way to defend his claim, why did he not settle instead of taking other people's money to fight the lawsuit?

Karl wanted a more expensive lawyer (That sure worked out well huh)
