Nintendo Switch 2 - For the Soytendo consoomers to speculate about the successor to the Switch, recently announced for 2025.

If that were the case, you'd think they'd do the card thing for their first party top sellers, not 3rd party games. Who's gonna try to emulate SF6?
It still uses Denuvo on PC, meaning it's still not cracked.

nintendo still makes couch co-op and good party games for the family, and even in the cases where it's possible, emulation multiplayer is almost always more hassle than its worth. Donkey Kong, sure, but mario kart is THE game to put on when you've got family and friends over.
I suppose so, but my investment in that would be dependent on me actually having family and friends that would also want to play Mario Kart.

Everyone liking those $80-90 price tags on those games? How about the fact that "some" physical Switch 2 games will only be a key cart that has no game on it, and you have to download the game. They want $450 for what is basically a ps4 hardware equivalent in small handheld form factor. Yes, the Switch 2 looks great and all the tech spec details are great but $500 for hardware that was already outdated years ago? Really?

The only positive thing I can think of is it will be backwards compatible with Switch games. But I am starting to wonder if that will be with digital downloads only because Nintendo decided to leave a Switch 1 cart slot out to save money.

I guess we can't be happy about anything anymore. Everything has to be terrible.

It still seems like a shaky proposition to me, since that game is 90% played for online multiplayer anyways.
While true, it's the principle of the matter for a number of devs out there that their game is to be locked up and never cracked even when it's fucking years later and they don't need to worry about the "opening sales" or whatever, some devs would rather consume lava than have their game cracked/emulated.

The key cards just add to all the e-waste. They won't be collectable in the same sense that regular games are either. You can't just lend your game to a friend, they pop it in and it works right out of the box. The next step is no more physical copies. And being stuck with a bunch of useless key cards once the servers go down one day and you can no longer download the game.

I think the chat feature is cool. But how long until some parent complains that a pedo tried to cyber their six year old? You know what happened with Swap Note on the 3DS. And that was just text and drawings. And someone will definitely flash their penis on that camera. I hope those parental controls are top notch.

thats why Nintendo has been so hesitant to have a feature like that despite the fact Sony and MS have had it since 7th gen, theres groomers all over the fucking place and most parents are still too dumb to turn on the console and put parental controls in, honestly its probably a ticking time bomb

The slot for Switch 2 game cards can read regular Switch game cards, they are the same physical format.

Sony will let pedos and furries (but I repeat myself) groom as many 12 year olds as they want as long as they get a 30% cut of all robux bought through the psn version. Can't blame nintendo for not wanting to just add discord integration and instead make their own "discord at home".

I'd say it's more the publishers that care, but that is true. It's such a stupid way of thinking as well. Most pirates won't buy the games, period, so it does nothing but spite people that are either too stingy or poor to afford the product anyway. There are so many huge successes like BG3 or Elden Ring which raked in cash despite being easily pirateable.
What's the point of the camera?
So your friends can see you soyface as you all play coop with discord Nintendo voice chat.

The switch 1 and 2 both use the same cards for the most part aside from the S2 card being faster and red. They claim S1 cards will work.

Looks like you'll need a different type of SD card. Micro SD Express. So if you want to play your digital Switch 1 games on Switch 2 I assume you will have to redownload them. I don't know if Switch 1 can use an Express card because I don't have one.

I'll probably get the bundle for mario kart, but i wonder, I was talking to friends about this pricing, and half blame Biden and Bidenflation, and the other half blame Trump and the tarriffs. I feel both are true to an extent, but even then nintendo shouldnt charge 90 FUCKING BUCKS for phsyical games. Cool system, but i hope this pricing backfires on nintendo and they walk back.

Holy fuck, when Soyny is doing something better than you, there is something wrong.
Sony could do the funniest thing right now by reposting this one

New Smash game + voice chat = Pedo Heaven

Please, I could purchase the $550 steamdeck model and it'd probably run everything I found interesting from the direct better than the Switch 2 itself, and it would have more storage space to boot.
And you can upgrade the internal storage if you want even more space without relying on SD cards.
