She's so transparent.

1) "I know it's a gay thing" being friends with your exes. Um, no it's not and who ever said it was. We can't stereotype you for being a fat piece of shit but you can stereotype gay people while simultaneously claiming to be pro LGBT every chance you get.

2) Your desperation is showing when you're like "stop paying attention to her controversy and come support real fat creators who need the engagement." So you're admitting that your views, relevance, and income are rapidly dwindling. Good for you.

She's not very bright, is she?

Her calling Remi Bader "midsize" says how screwed up her perception of what a normal weight is:

If she was talking about the post-weight loss picture that would be one thing, but you know Ton Tonne Tess thinks that's skinny.
I know this is the Tess thread but THAT person is famous??? Holy shit she has the face of a deformed bulldog. How???

Tess is like a sitcom character who is always trying to cut corners but then it all goes wrong. She could put in the hard work and become 'the former plus size model who has a new message for young girls', but instead she's tried tattoos, porn, tiktok, literature, activism and now lesbianicious dating. What crazy scheme will she come up with next week? Tune in to find out.

In this context "mid-size" refers to having what is still essentially a recognizably human body plan.

Not to go too far in the weeds, but Remi Bader is also "curvy/midsize" now.

I didn't even know who she was, so I looked into it (https://www.self.com/story/remi-bader-surgery).

Some interesting bits:
  • She says she had BED (which I believe, compared to Tess' anorexia)
  • She got bariatric surgery (SADI-S), not Ozempic
To bring it back on topic, there are two things I find interesting here. First, the people saying shit like "She turned her back on us!" when it seems all she did was lose weight after becoming famous for being fat (like Lizzo) don't seem to be swarming to Tess who is still "embracing" being fat, so I wonder if Tess' complaint didn't come from nowhere, but from seeing videos like this:

Second, if I look at Remi's latest content, it actually does seem like the kind of content and persona Tess wants to project, but unlike Tess, Remi actually gets up and does it. Tess seems to treat her whole like like a modeling gig (where she expects someone else to come along and be the director, producers, and wardrobe person). A video like this is something she absolutely could have done - especially before Thick Thrift -, but it would take too much effort at her size (and is now impossible with the injury).

Everything I heard about Remi Bader says she was never part of the BOPO movement or HAES. She was just regular vlogger who happened to gain weight and at some point decided she wasn't going to update her viewers on her health or weight anymore after too many negative comments.

That is a lesbian stereotype but I suspect it stems from fake bi women (like Tess and whoever she's trying to date) not actually wanting to have sex with women and instead just wanting a bff (the 'haha noooo, I'm not ready for a relationship but we should be besties' thing).

I don't know a single person, homosexual or otherwise, who wants to be best friends with their ex. Polite and on good terms, sure, but break-ups happen for a reason. Why would anyone want to be besties with someone they clearly find incompatible?

I agree, but if it's said on a first date then that's a different story. This sounded like an early date. I've made more friends from online dating than I've made partners, because the first date was fun but there were no sparks.

I think this was a thing back in the day when the gay or lesbian "scene" in any given town was small and socially incestuous. You remained friends with your exes because you're gonna see them every night at the one gay hangout in town, and because they're probably dating your friend now. Its probably not as true as it used to be as the Internet made the world feel bigger.

This is it. Not even 10 years ago you literally couldn’t afford to not be friendly with your ex because the lesbian scene was so incestuous and small it was impossible to have major beef with an ex without it completely fracturing the already tiny group. Idk if it’s better now because I am pretty far removed from that drama
