Do people not realize that rechargeable AA batteries exist? I spent $20 on a 4 pack and literally always have a pair charged. The only annoying thing about my xbox controller is that it doesn't tell me when it's low so it'll just die without warning. Other than that though, it's the best controller of all time.

Its easy to forget, I use a wired Xbox controller for my PC

I thought as much based on screenshots. They do seem fun but I'm expecting computer clunkiness that'll probably turn me away.

It's been 25 years since I played, but at the end of the day, if you can't handle VGA graphics from the 1990s and don't like clicking around on a grid to move things by turns, you're not going to have a good time.

That said, IMO they are both way better than FO3.

The first Fallout is only like 4-5 hours long and you can get the patched version on GOG for pennies.

So if you want to give it a try the barrier to entry isn't very high.

Grids and turns seems fine, almost sounds like a tactical RPG. I'm mostly worried about cluttered menus and shit.

I will try the old Fallouts at some point, but I doubt they're better than 3/New Vegas, so I don't expect my opinion to change regardless.

They aren't. NV is very good, but Fallout 1 and 2 are very good.

CGA = 4 colors (usually cyan/magenta/white/black)
EGA = 16 colors
VGA = 256 colors (frequently from a 24-bit palette, e.g. Doom)

What does this have to do with reviewing a product? Why do you pushing goal posts? The original claim was that the number of purchases a product made determined it's quality. This disregards people who purchased it but didn't like the product after experiencing it and also popularity has nothing to do with quality.

You then said that's like saying a painter who doesn't get rich off their paintings thus made bad paintings when that's just not true since pretty much all 100 of the top 100 most famous paintings were made by people who died poor barely making a cent off their work, a total contradiction of your point.

My point is that when you create art and people don't praise you for it (or even acknowledge it) it makes you feel like a failure. And with art feels are reals. Getting money and praise is the ultimate goal for any artist because that's the easiest metric to gauge your own perceived worth from. I can guarantee you all those legendary painters that died poor would have traded success and wealth during their lifetime for a legacy they can't even experience. Creating beautiful art is cool, but if nobody you show it to cares the piece will just make you sad any time you think about it.

More casual in this case means less tedious to fucking up and stay going, unlike Arena to Oblivion, which bad leveling up atributtes is a pain in the ass.

Fair, but the art in and if itself is still good or bad. If it's ignored by who it's shown to then it's probably not good, or is has a niche appeal at best, or is popular ironically/due to nostalgia (only a thing in modern times really).

FO1 and 2 have fantastic UIs IMO. The game window is literally framed by a menu that has a message log and most of details you need readily visible, as well as buttons for different pull up menus I case you forget or haven't learned the hotkeys yet. Runescape did it the very same way. I love that style of UI.

For some reason every controller afterwards had L2/R2 hang off the edge of the controller like triggers and they all have that squishy resistance, making them GARBAGE for Fighting games.

Analog triggers are garbage for pretty much everything

It's not like anybody playing Mario Kart or something misses them. We're stuck with these squishy tumors on every controller because simfags won't spring for a proper wheel. No money left after getting price gauged with MTXs I guess.

I’ve come to believe 99% of anime rant sonas YouTubers are pedos, closeted fags, or trannies. Or a combination of the 3. The sharty is 100% right, anime turns people into troons/fags.

Morrowind has the best factions. I like that certain faction's quests are actually mutually exclusive and wish they built on that in future entries instead of being and to do everything on a single character.

It's actually possible to join every faction(minus the houses) and finish their questline on one character. Just need to be careful with some quests. Think Daggerfall is the only one where you can't do that.
