Absolutely, even the people he named in his note aren't really to blame in any real way. I've only brought it up to highlight the absurdity of Karl Jobst maliciously slandering Billy Mitchell as being responsible for the death while the guy who killed himself literally went out of his way to name specific members of the "speedrunning community" in his note for 'giving him the final push he needed'.'

Jobst claiming Billy was responsible for the death is already unhinged on its own but his direct association with the people named in the note makes it that much more ridiculous and kind of makes it seem like some kind of weird projection.

But I wouldn't go as far as to say they are actually responsible, I do not think that is the case at all and it is a horrible thing to put on someone - that's why Jobst doing that so flippantly to Mitchell is disgraceful.

Naming people in your suicide note is kind of shitty thing to do anyway, not to speak ill of the dead here, but at some point you do have to take some responsibility for your own life and at the end of it is as good a time as any.

Speedtroons don't get to say that kiwifarms killed 8 Gorillion people and then claim that the people specifically listed in his suicide note had nothing to do with it.

What if somebody did read mean things at KF and cite them as his reason for killing themself? Or what if Apollo was so mad at losing his settlement with Billy Mitchell he did say that's why he was killing himself? Would that really make anybody but the suicider himself responsible?

There's a self-righteous mania about "suicide and self harm". It's retarded. If you type "kys" on X, you get a week Ban. If you even use the word "suicide", your post gets auto-censored. I'm sure all the other sites are the same.

Don't get me wrong: if Antifa or something are truly hounding people - getting somebody fired from their job, drive-by the house with flashlights and all their creepy shit, getting them banned from social media - then you definitely have an argument that somebody was "driven to suicide". But Mean Tweets as cause of death? Losing a lawsuit and having to abide by a simple settlement? It's laughable.

From what I’ve seen, it’s likely that Jobst genuinely believed in his case because of his speedtranny ‘tism logic of “cheating in a video game makes you literally Hitler so I can’t ruin his reputation more by saying he caused a guy to off himself” and “I mentioned Apollo in an unrelated video once so I definitely wasn’t misleading the audience, especially because I wanted the case be about how Billy cheated at vidja!” Nonetheless, deserved rape by the legal system.

If Karl Jobst gaf about retro video game high scores, he'd be scruitinizing every record. But do you see Jobst going over videos of record holders for Galaga? Frogger? Ms. Pac Man? Space Invaders? Donkey Kong 2? Street Fighter 2? Not a chance in hell. Because he doesn't care about who holds what records, and whether those records were done on emulators or cabinets. It's all fake.

The dumb nigger probably couldn't even name another classic arcade game, nevermind who holds high score records in those games. It had nothing to do with "The integrity of the 'Donkey Kong' high score record holder" (which changes about a dozen times every week, anyway). It was about his deranged, psychotic personal obsession with Billy Mitchell. And getting "Likes and Subscribes."

Only using "Billy cheating in video games" as proof he caused someone to commit suicide is retarded. ESPECIALLY when there's evidence contradicting Karl's claims that Karl was made aware of like Apollo not being ass raped financially by Billy (Something Karl's probably really jealous of).
Now I get how strongly people feel about Apollo's suicide and I have my own takes but if you're going to make certain claims you better have stronger evidence than "He cheated in DK! Only a suicide causing monster would cheat in DK!" because it sounds fucking stupid. Billy can be a sketchy guy, and no doubt he fucked people over but I'd say Apollo was let off the hook real easily compared to what his "friends" and the speed run troons did to him.

But if you want to claim Billy caused Karl to commit suicide there's a lot you can go off of like getting fucked financially, looking like a fucking idiot to everyone and getting shunned and humiliated, etc.

Exactly. And we know Billy has a habbit of that. So, it’s an obvious line of attack to say it went too far. Which was all I was saying. As we saw that did not pan out and Karl is now fucked.

No, but we are just pointing out that troons are throwing stones in a glass house. KF didn't kill Near, and Billy (or anybody else) didn't kill Apollo. Suicide is the result of a lot of problems stacking up in an unwell mind.
