Nintendo Switch (Currently Plagued) - Here we shit post about the new Nintendo console, The Switch

>Buying consoles at launch

People never learn.
To be fair, if it were to not do well at launch, what good would it do waiting for them to fix the flaws?

The people selling their Wii U and buying Nintendo Switch are morons because a) the Wii U is depreciated in cost significantly, if you're selling it to afford the Switch, you really can't afford the Switch, b) you're playing it mostly for Breath of the Wild which you can already get for Wii U, and c) the Wii U at least had the libraries of itself and the Wii, while the Switch is pretty much dead-end even if it does come out with new software.

The saps who did this and got the blue/orange screen of death must be really kicking themselves because otherwise they could be happily playing Breath of the Wild on their Wii U.

Hmm. Right now I have three options.

1) Buy a switch and Breath of the Wild.

2) Buy a Wii U and Breath of the Wild. Later buy the HD Remasters of Twilight Princess and Wind Waker.

3) Wait to see if I can find the Wii U and games in pawn shops down the line.

4) Save my money. I don't have the time I used to be able to spend gaming. Plus Persona 5 drops next month and the PS3 version still looks great.

Meh, I like it, and if it breaks I can get it fixed free through work. Generally I find people who have scratches already are slamming the thing into the dock like they want it to break. I take care of my shit. Also Breath of The Wild is a wonderfully refreshing game, not just a Zelda game but a good example of how a deep, meaningful and freedom filled RPG doesn't have to lean on confusing stat systems to be fun.

So apparently, despite having storage space and removable storage, the Switch can't transfer saves, so if your Switch dies and you have to return it to Nintendo, bye bye Zelda progress!

I didn't think they would be able to get worse than that weird bug some people that saved data to USB on Wii U had where it'd just randomly kill the USB.
Thankfully I never ran into that problem myself, but since this shit's unavoidable I'm gonna hold off on buying the switch for a while.

I saw this link going around today from Nintendo's official support website regarding dead pixels and uneven LCD display illumination. Nintendo's stance?

Small numbers of stuck or dead pixels are a characteristic of LCD screens. These are normal and should not be considered a defect.

Incredible. Dead pixels on a brand fucking new LCD screen are most definitely product defects.

I've just realized that the release of the Switch means that now this plug will never be used for anything ever
