A 16-year-old track athlete was killed during a championship meet Wednesday morning in Texas by a member of another team, officials said.

Frisco Police confirmed the student-athlete died "despite lifesaving measures." The suspect, 17-year-old Karmelo Anthony, has been charged with first-degree murder.

A student from Frisco Memorial was the victim, according to local reports. Frisco Memorial Principal Brook Fesco wrote in an email obtained by Fox News Digital that Austin Metcalf, a junior at the school, had died Wednesday.

The incident occurred at about 10 a.m. at Kuykendall Stadium at the University Interscholasic League's District 11-5A championship meet. Anthony attends Frisco Centennial, roughly 7 miles away from Frisco Memorial.

According to the Frisco Independent School District, the meet was suspended shortly after the incident. The ISD added that the stadium "was immediately secured, and students were released and sent back to their home campus on FISD buses with expediency."

In her email, Fesco said the school "will acknowledge Austin’s death during 2nd period and will offer support throughout the day," adding counselors would be available.

"As a parent, your guidance and support will be important in helping your child process grief. Talking about this together, face-to-face, will give you a chance to discuss how your family understands and copes with loss. You may also want to discuss with your child how to be a supportive friend to classmates," Fesco wrote. "This loss might remind your student of past losses as well. The most important thing you can do is provide your child a chance to be heard and to express their feelings."

"The Frisco Police Department grieves with all those affected by this devastating loss and extends its deepest condolences to the victim’s family, students, and staff who are experiencing unimaginable pain," the department said in a statement. "The department is collaborating with the Frisco Independent School District and will continue to provide any support they need during this incredibly difficult time."

Metcalf, who also played football at the school, participated in both the boys shot put and discus events earlier in the day, with threw distances of 39 feet, 9¾ inches and 86 feet, 4 inches, respectively.

Anthony ran the boys' 100-meter dash in 12.38 seconds and was scheduled to compete in the long jump.

Eight schools competed at the meet, according to MileSplit.

The founders called to let you know they didn't picket-sign their way to nationhood.
If you wanna go out lynching and burning down buildings, fueling the anti-white narrative and giving them the justification to crack down even harder, I can't stop you. But that is at it's heart, retarded.

Coordinate, build groups, and take peaceful, democratic action while you can. I don't think the founders would have fought a revolutionary war, if they had the same opportunity for non-violent change you have now.

Let me see if I'm understanding the story: so, Black teen was sitting at the wrong tent, White teen says: "you're sitting in the wrong seat," Black teen responds by stabbing White teen after altercation. The defense of Metcalf being stabbed to death is: he was high during the confrontation, he posted pictures of himself on social media with guns and he was racist?

What?

Basically that's the gist, but for some added context:

  • black teen wasn't just in the wrong tent, he was in the one specifically designated for the school where the white teen was from

  • the defense of "he (Metcalf) was high" during the confrontation is extra absurd as the drug allegedly in his system was MDMA (a drug that is in no way correlated with aggressive or violent behaviour, rather the opposite)

  • the social media pictures of Metcalf were clearly hunting pictures, also in no way displaying violence

  • there's nothing to suggest Metcalf was racist from what I can tell; as always, it's the immediate go to claim to try to smear a white person in any confrontation.

Other notes at this point are:

  • Metcalf did put his hand on Anthony apparently after being challenged to "do something," but it doesn't appear to be in a violent nature (at this point there is a claim that he sucker punched Anthony, but I've yet to see anything or anyone substantiating this)

  • there has also been fake (verified by the Frisco police) information going viral trying to smear the deceased (fake toxicology reports, and fake statements from the local sheriff, etc.)

Didn't they throw out the obvious fact that George Floyd was drugged out of his mind during his situation? Now, they're applying the same argument for Metcalf. Wow.

So, Black guys can post pictures of themselves improperly using firearms, no problem. But showing hunting pictures is a step too far. Okay.

Should be impersonation of a police officer, if they care enough to investigate the phony post.

>SUSPECTED

I'd just like to say that I SUSPECT Tariq Nasheed of going around to daycares in the middle of the night, rooting through their dumpsters, and eating shit out of soiled diapers.

Notice I didn't say he does this. It's SUSPECTED.

I know it's really easy to make statements of "They're just doing it because they hate [race]" in these situations, but frankly this is the case here. Regardless of what comes out in the future about this, as of right now with what we (I mean the public at large) know of the story the people trying to smear Metcalf or put blame on him are very blatantly doing so from an anti-white perspective. The allegations of Metcalf having drugs in his system don't even make sense in regards to his death: the guy was stabbed in the heart, for Christ's sake. Admittedly I'm not a doctor but I don't think that's at all something that can be debated as a cause of death unlike Floyd's case.

Nasheed's really pioneered this slander approach on modern social media. I've seen a lot of anti-white black accounts using the same tactic in this case of *wink wink nudge nudge* slandering him as a "suspected" white supremacist. I recall them doing this about a year ago with that absurd racial grift of a story of the pregnant white woman in New York who was definitely totally harassing those black guys for a bike.

This killing has had me thinking back on how I actually felt about black men even in my insufferable lib phase. I'd talk a good game about everyone being equal, but, in truth, I was afraid of them. As far as I was aware of that fear, I felt guilty for it, but, in retrospect, I'm glad I never let it go because I think it saved me a few times when black men tried to start shit with me. I guess walking away from a confrontation over literally nothing made me a "bitch", but better a live bitch than a dead Chad.

White parents need to teach their kids to have a healthy fear of black men and pattern recognition of when they set themselves up for a "justified" confrontation with us. I'm not trying to victim blame Metcalf over this, but identifying what Anthony was trying to do would likely have saved his life.
Black woman calls white kid a thug for liking black music? 🤔
Steelmanning her nonsense, she's probably trying to mimic criticism of, say, Trayvon Martin in the aftermath of his death. Although it shows she doesn't understand her opponents or the particular game she's trying to play. The equivalent would be if Metcalf listened to Ted Nugent or something.

He'll do whatever his lawyer tells him to. So unless he's got someone nuts like Johnnie Cochrane, I bet he'll go with a more mundane plea deal or something.
Johnnie Cochran died in 2005. FYI.

BTW, the GoFundMe for the stabber have been taken down, because GFM does not participate in fundraisers for criminals, tried or not.
