its funny how nakedly this is all just about protecting their interests to the detriment of the rest of society. there is actually no way one could really think that trumps picks which were either heavily advertised and anticipated during his campaign like elon and rfk, are somehow less democratically selected vs other unelected officials in charge of sending money to things most americans dont like and that they know we dont like since they also were in charge of giving money to censorship and astroturf to make americas rep at large on the world stage as loving fags nigs and infinity third world rapists.
jobs and grocery prices worse under biden? well doesnt matter. stock market a bit down under trump to actually try and fix our future? fuck you plebs we had assets you could never hope to afford because of us and we cant fuck you over enough to leech more.
I think on some level the fact that they can't conceive that the economy simply isn't fucking working for other people, and that the stock market taking on a little bit of chaos -- the holy line, peace be upon it's name, that which must ALWAYS go up, did in fact go up yesterday,
but only a little, and that's unforgivable -- might cause long term gains that other people could benefit from... new jobs, new factories... is worse.
It's inherently worse that they just can't grasp that what's good for them might not necessarily be good for everyone. That the America they grew up in -- which they looted dry, tore out the floorboards to sell for scrap, then set fire to the foundations so they could sell access to the bonfire to foreigners while they ran off like a fucking 1950s cartoon villain, briefcases full of cash in hand -- no longer exists.
I could almost excuse away raw, naked, greed. "GIMMIE THAT IT'S MINE GIMMIE THAT IT'S MINE" as Carlin said. But that's not the experience I've had with Boomers. It's the pigfuck stupid willful ignorance. The same ignorance that leads to liberals shocked, utterly shocked, that someone might not want to live in a hyper-dense bugman hive. "What? But that town is like 40 minutes away from the mall, and it doesn't even have a subway or bodegas. I don't think I could live like that."
They literally thought the holy line will always go up -- it must always go up -- which in real terms means they literally believe that the good times will never, must never, end. Until they die, and then everyone else can get fucked. But everything has to hold together until 2030, 2040 or so, the Boomerati have decreed it.
I don't know the solution to any of this. But I do know the first step is just no longer giving a crap when they sneed at you -- be it the stupid liberal white woman demanding we give up law and order and shit because she has a picture of sad beaners at the border, or boomers ranting because the market is so bad they could only flip and resell 2 out of the 3 houses they wanted to this summer.
