The Economic Collapse of 2025 - Are you tired of winning yet?

How long will it take domestic and foreign industries to invest and build all the needed manufacturing plants in America, get them up and running
Never, because they'd rather wait out the orangutan's term and hope the tariffs are repealed by the next government, than burn billions of dollars and years of their time setting up production and supply lines in the US that could be rendered unprofitable in an instant, or even seized and sanctioned.
and begin selling goods locally
This can only happen if tariffs are placed on the entire planet at huge levels, Tokugawa Japan style, otherwise they'll move production to any random poorer country with low tariffs (like Brazil) before paying expensive American labor.
and abroad at relatively affordable and competitive prices?
Will literally never happen unless the labor force accepts a gigantic drop in wages and purchasing power, you can't compete with Vietnam without Vietnamese salaries.

tfw line go down + no uninvested capital to buy the dip

"Making all the things China does now here in the States will give people good paying jobs because those jobs will be done by robots" is a hilarious position.
People must manage and maintain the robots retard, fix errors, along with doing tasks they simply cant.

That's a very solid business strategy.
They will do it for America, since America has given them everything.

I'm fairly certain the give away to whom I was referring was the Half a billion dollars on submarines

But points for trying mate

Better luck next time
What?

You were blatantly wrong on your second point and $500m is less than 1% of the 62 billion dollar trade deficit. I didn’t even reply to the thing about submarines because it’s basically irrelevant.

Better than importing slaves to do those jobs.
People don't buy American cars because the nips undercut their prices. Its how Nissan stays in buisness. That is the main factor. If more American cars were produced, prices drop.
So you'll target the regulations that impact American auto manufactures ability to make cars and implement rules that benefit the American consumer? I love the Tariffs myself but that's only the surface layer issue, the rot goes deeper and it must be removed.

Gas near me has “trended” down. I don’t know why people are touting it as being lower. It is 2.90 with cash at its lowest, averaging out to 3.09 with credit at most places. It has been at this number for nearly a year. Well before Trump was elected. Some places it is still 3.50. I do not think he has magically fixed gas.

The issue with eggs is that prior to the election every retard was saying that Biden was explicitly raising the price of eggs. You can find a dozen interviews where Trump’s statements boil down to “Biden and his administration are keeping the price of eggs high on purpose. I will lower them.” Locally eggs were sitting around 8 dollars at the time. Trump took office and the price did not go down immediately like he said it would. Instead the conversation shifted to “well it’s because of the bird flu” which is what the Biden administration was saying before the election happened. It was a lie then followed with a shifting of the conversation.

I only start with these things because they’re just two of the examples I see of people creating a narrative to justify turning their brain off at the polls.

Now I am seeing people say they want to be the world’s factory. It’s odd because the types of products that they will be making are essentially useless. Cheap plastic stuff that is cheap and you will be paid pennies on the dollar to make. It’s odd seeing people say “well no It’ll be good for America to be a slave state where we pump out meaningless junk to the rest of the world.” The issue sane people have with the tariffs is that they’re done with no critical thinking. Just blanket tariffs made by holding numbers up to a mirror. I can’t fathom why people are okay with it.

The fact that the majority of the people cheering them on can’t even spell tariff makes it all much more ironic. The American Empire is back? Maybe if you want to be living like a serf.

A generation at least. Trump saying that there's going to be pain felt by Americans for the next 2 years is him spitballing a number out of his ass, it'll take much longer and that's assuming companies dropped everything and started building massive factories this exact second. Plus, with the rise of automation, just getting factories isn't exactly going to address a worsening job crisis.

Furthermore, there's still the problem that Trump quite blatantly ignored and that's the fact the tariffs still would impact the importation of raw resources. The idea of 'Made in America' isn't really true anymore because globalization means things require resources and components from across the world.

On top of all that, why would anybody want to start making heavy investments in the middle of a crashing stock market, when the guy dictating economic policy is extremely volatile and can change his mind for irrational reasons?

Yes. Which Trump has stated he will do.

What the piss are you on about

The U.S. goods trade surplus with Australia was $17.9 billion in 2024,

How the fuck did you turn a 18 billion dollar surplus into a 62 billion dollar deficit

Has the us education system failed you this badly,?

STOP POSTING

By "supply chain and engineering expertise", you mean "children working their little fingers to the bone" and "building safety nets on factory walls so workers stop trying to jump to their deaths", right?

Or do you mean "Western intellectual property either stolen or slipped to on the sly by unscrupulous traitors?"

China is only a global player because the faggots at the WTO give them a free pass to not play by the "rules" of the "rules-based world order". Hold them accountable, and watch the paper tiger go up in flames.
You people are trapped in the 90s, which is kinda appropriate given that you'll be getting the 90s Russia experience soon enough.
