Genuinely curious is the other thread really just filled with retard faggots and Europoors? Like how in anyway is what’s going on a bad look for Trump? The tariffs are still there just at a smaller rate and China is butt fucked? It’s sad to see so many users of this site at the same intellectual level as Fatty who somehow thinks Nintendo delaying preorders means it’s the end for the right?

yes, it is really that bad. i encourage you to go read it yourself, it's actually comical how stupid a lot of the people in that thread are. they make our regular libtards look like geniuses.

I think only China and the EU have retaliated amongst the countries that were listed with the tariffs of last week, so RIP to them.

I do agree with the concerns that China will simply continue and increase the rate at which they launder goods through SEA countries to get around the tariffs. That needs to be negotiated out.

The other concern is that while this demolishes China, just having factories relocate from there to other slave labor countries benefits the average American very little. Best case scenario there would be a USMCA model where the wages of mexican factory workers increased multiple times over, which both prevented more offshoring and greatly enriched the locals. A Win-Win for both countries.

Company stock buybacks should be illegal, especially when companies take on more debt to do so. It's straight market manipulation and provides zero value beyond the short-term pump (if that even happens).

Dividends weren't ended because of tax law, they were ended when execs realized the sheep would still buy stocks that didn't pay a dividend and then they could put that extra money in their own pockets by way of salary/bonuses.
It’s the right financial move. Let’s say the company issued only 100 shares and it trades at $10, and you made $20 in profit and want to give back half of that to shareholders. If you use that $10 to buy a share , the remaining 99 shares now each own an additional fraction of the company, with zero transactional cost. If you issue a $0.1 per share dividend of that $10 over $2 is lost in net transaction taxes before it hits the stock holder’s bank accounts. The loophole that needs to be fixed is both of these need to be taxed evenly or in a way that favors dividends so that money flows outward from investment to investor, rather than simply between former shareholder cashing out. It’s not manipulation it’s basic math and why every American company does it. Why waste 20% when you can pay 0%

Literally went out for lunch, then came back and saw all the green, and just laughed at work. I am seriously considering ending half my e-mails with "Thank your for your attention in this matter!" just because you can't do it for all of them or that would just be silly.

From before the W, people realizing free trade and austrian economics is just words and gay when it's never put into practice correctly:
