...I could say Domhnall Gleeson deserves better than this, but frankly, I'm just relieved to see that there's no mention of American Gods kin on her kin page despite it being her 'favorite book,' although I bet if I dug deeper I'd find all kinds of autism regarding it (especially with the TV series coming out soon). If she's actually read it.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, Tumblr is one of the most illiterate-seeming groups I've ever had the misfortune to run across. Several years ago it wasn't like this, you had plenty of teen novel readers (THG, HP, John Green novels and the like; I remember very small but dedicated Lemony Snicket and Leviathan fans), some Neil Gaiman fans (American Gods and then some), Terry Pratchett, Raven Cycle...you even had young writers trying to cut their teeth and make original stories alongside their spergy fanfics. Were they any good? Generally, no, but the fact was they were all reading and writing, which is generally a good thing.
Then identity politics became the end-all be-all point to their lives and now they won't touch it if it doesn't meet their twelve foxkin, three blacks, and an autist quota.
