This is an interesting shortcut.

The effort hinges on a surprising new tactic: repurposing Social Security’s “death master file,” which for years has been used to track dead people who should no longer receive benefits, to include the names of living people who the government believes should be treated as if they are dead. As a result of being added to the death database, they would be blacklisted from a coveted form of identity that allows them to make and more easily spend money.

They're probably right and that's not how that database is meant to work. I bet DOGE did an estimate of how long it would take to spin up a parallel "alive but banned" database, and realized it would take years for it to be integrated into all the systems that already use the death file. So they just poked Trump for authorization and reused the death file.

Anyone remember e-Verify from back in the Bush II era? The first step in electronically verifying SSNs that illegals were trying to use. Bush's big contribution was making federal agencies and contractors use it. Everyone fought for years, adoption was spotty for decades. And private companies could usually just ignore it.





Now it's not even effective, making it likely that a copycat system at the SSA wouldn't be effective either.

A 2019 analysis by the Cato Institute, which supports increased immigration, found that while E-Verify used to be effective at spotting illegal immigrants, it was no longer so. The analysis estimated that the system only spotted the hiring of 16.1 percent of illegal immigrant workers in the fiscal year of 2018.

And this failure was what the previous generation of anti-immigrant Republicans fought for years to get going. This was the era that originally got them branded as anti-Hispanic, anti-immigration racists. Party of losers, indeed.

Instead of fighting a battle they knew was historically futile, DOGE cut straight to the most effective chokepoint they had available in the SSA. This is a hardcore results-based approach, straight out of startup culture, and I love it.

Proper government approach would have been to spend months in committee putting together a team to describe an outline of a system, then a year to bid it out to a contractor, then 3 years for them to develop it. Plus another 10 years trying to phase in mandatory use of it by all the relevant companies.

I am in awe at this consistent short-circuiting of the entire delaying, stalling, nerfing, subverting government apparatus. It's incredible in its application and efficiency. DOGE is a masterclass of effectively reforming government, and no one will fully appreciate it until after Trump and Elon are long gone.

My professor had what I can only describe as a mask off moment. Basically claiming that news needs to be controlled as a necessary part of a democracy, controlling access to news that promotes "emotional manipulation" like Fox. Also said that CNN is actually a pretty centrist or even right leaning organization. The main claim to shock everyone out of logical thought was to say that hitler gave out radios as a means of propaganda that only tuned into his supported radio stations. Then said that germany was so good to put heavy limits on their speech so prevent nazism, but our dirty american media like twitter is giving a rise to propaganda that they can't stop with laws, which is why they have tried to get into american companies and regulate them. Finished it up, with a cherry on top of putting a video on canvas of a neuroscientist from the NIH saying conseevatives have a smaller amygdala, that makes them less social and unable to understand world events.

I’m sure some of you have heard the phrase “When America sneezes, the world catches a cold.”

I think it’s important to keep that in mind with the general chaos Trump is so good at sowing. It’s not at all in the world’s interest for the American economy to blow up.

But what I hope will ultimately happen is the total destruction of the uniparty message - that the decline and replacement of the most industrious people on earth is a natural, inevitable process.

It’s not and never has been. It’s been a monumental effort by globalists here and abroad to crush American exceptionalism and make its people believe there’s no way to stop it. The doomers on this site are an excellent example. Constantly proclaiming that a bunch of streetshitters, anchor babies, and Asian sweatshops are the only way for Americans to cling to the middle class, when all of American history up until the last few decades tells us otherwise.

The oft-cited exit poll pushed by CNN, NBC and others asserting that the Jewish vote went 79% to Harris did not include New York, New Jersey and California, which have some of the largest Jewish populations in the country. Claims that the numbers are holding steady for Democrats become more difficult to sustain after a close look at vote totals in the places where Jews actually live.

Anyway, it claims Jewish support for Trump was more significant across the board, regardless of religious orientation , but then focuses a lot on the results in Orthodox and Hasidic strongholds, so what you're saying about orthodox population growth is plausible to some extent, it also tracks with conversations I had and observations I made in the post Oct 7th landscape more generally. I'm speaking colloquially, I'm not retarded enough to assume Jews are some monolith but the more strident explicit support for Israel in Gaza and the more bloodthirsty Likud coalition trump is beholden to definitely had more sympathy and support from American jews than in 2016 or 2020.

Sure. Trump wasn't in full control of the situation. And I argue he isn't now. He's committed to this action and the response from other countries he can't control is what will determine the outcome at the end of 90 days. I've had an art teacher say that the value scale was racist, because a dude back in the day called the light side "high value" and the black side "low value".
