I can give a quick summary. He's against personally using Generative AI for his company and he claims he's been weeding it out when people have tried to sneak it in. But he acknowledges that it's here to stay, some artists are freaking out because it's interfering with this work and artists either need to learn to adapt to it or end up getting replaced. Most people aren't going to care about the process, just the end result so artists need to learn the bidness end if they want to stay in the game.

I don't think he said anything unreasonable so don't know why the man with the perpetual cough is so upset by it.

Speaking of screenshots though, Meyer acts like there wasn't a malicious effort to fuck with Eric's main IP by dragging him into the lawsuit with the church. Why wouldn't he address this and make sure there's no confusion?

This is the important bit. The music scene went through similar dumpster fires when sampling became a thing, fast forward 25 years and nobody gives a shit. Artists who'll learn how to use it effectively will benefit from it and its not like traditional musicians were replaced by sampling either. Comic book artists will be fine too as long as they make something people actually want to read.

It's also important to note that we're comparatively in the "smash two rocks together" stage of AI development. It's only going to get better going forward, and people will learn how to use it more effectively.

For example, the Ghibli thing shows that if you give the current models a storyboard to work with it can put out significantly more consistent and better results.

I for one am waiting for it to hit 3D Printing. I'd love to have some smartass on 4chan create a SD Model that generates something like randomly generated Orks in random poses with random extra nubbins. Or Imperial Guardsmen from any regiment. That'll be amazing.

Not until one or the other declares so.

Frankly, Narwahl shouldn't say it's dead, because, of course, working with Mark Millar could be just dandy, but who knows, Millar may get the Ellis/Gaiman treatment and get cancelled or someone may succesfully pressure him into dropping a former CG brownshirt such as Narwahl or some other twist that may leave the guy in a ditch. So yeah, Zack may be a jackass (and who knows... Narwahl may disagree on this) and quickly slipping into an even more complete irrelevancy but there's no reason to burn that bridge unnecessarily

Narwahl’s past association with EVS would be more of a reason to get him cancelled than a non factor like Zack.

Millar was semi-canceled when he defended the shop owner who complained about the comics. It backfired on the SJWs and the term "Cancel Pigs" was created to describe them. They will hesitate to attack Millar.
