IMO I kind of wished we actually got more Slavjank games set in the actual peak of the USSR/Warsaw Pact. At least something like Atomic Heart was full of bright fun colors and was actually different from other Slavjank, tho that game had a myriad of its own problems like LARPing as a Bioshock homage when it isn't one at all and it's total misleading marketing.

Less grimey post-Soviet depression and more retro-futurism set in the peak of the Cold War or something like those surreal artsy fartsy Soviet era films would be a welcome breath of fresh air.

This, mostly. It would have to be made by someone non-slavic, just like Atomic Heart was, because the whole slav block already had an entire literary and media genre of bullshit: Socialist realism with associated Constructivism and 'proletariat culture'. But there's plenty of slavjank that takes the piss out of it. Like Breathedge, for example – Space Subnautica except it's all blue post-soviet humor. Russian humor in particular is very noticeable. It has a borderline moronic quality, the kind that you can't help but appreciate for the effort alone, like a sped showing you a flower freshly misted in manure.

Pretty sure the person they hired for the music is freelance so they don't work there officially? Even then it was several people so I don't even know what the troon worked on officially.

the music in Pizza time seems well done from what i've heard. if all trannies in game dev did their jobs well, kept it professionally without going full gooner spergout mode then no one would notice or care.

It's like Ultrakill and the butt plug thing where it's like if it was isolated gooner nonsense it would still be weird but that is just some degen being degenerate. It's when the creators actively throw it into the game just because is when it becomes a problem.

Pretty much, it doesn't actually matter that a troon worked on the music. Pizza Tower is a banger game with absolutely zero modern day nonsense. It really does feel like a 90s cartoon turned into an unhinged game.

I was mostly just morbidly curious, but yea for a non troonslop game Pizza Tower definetly fits the bill.

I haven't played it yet, but the one thing I heard about it from friends is the game has A LOT of talking, especially compared to games like WL4 and Pizza Tower which have basically zero. Was curious if that amount of dialogue resulted in some modernsloppa slipping through the cracks.
