The Last of Us Franchise - Because it's apparently a franchise now. This thread has been double-DMCA’d by Sony Interactive Entertainment.

I have no faith in normies. I fully expect that, after the Joel in One scene, they'll be talking about how it was "such an unexpected plot twist" and how they can't wait to see what happens.
Yeah, all the people saying they can't wait for the normie TV audiences to get pissed off are seriously coping. The entire first season went out of its way to make Joel unlikable so that the Joel in One plot would go over better.

"The chromosones, Abby. Hand them over"
I've always thought she had a semi-resemblance to that guy in the movie Mask, think it's just the really tall forehead.

The fact that she's directly related to some hollywood bigshot (but kept a secret to which) and the constant gaslighting by media how she's a wonderful actress and pretty and chuds are mad that they cant fap to her...it all feels like a schizo psyop.
I think it's an attempt to ward off criticism of their shitty product. It reminds me a lot of how creepy WEF lizardpeople used to hide behind Greta Thunderberger or whatever her name was and if you criticized globalism at all they'd be like.

"Don't you know you're mocking a retarded child? Oy vey what a terrible person you are!"

I wonder if the producers of the show were also forced to watch gore videos for the golfing scene. You're essentially kneecaping the show and getting rid of the reason a lot of people watch, if you don't put those millions in production to making it look good and show at least a couple seconds of Pascualito's head split open, it's all for nothing.

The Joel in One is expected in episode 2.

They've also released enough in the trailers that shows Ellie in Seattle. She'd have no reason to leave Jackson if Joel wasn't dead.

They should just splice in his death scene from Game of Thrones.

What do they even have for a hypotetical season 4, assuming 2 and 3 get split between Ellie and Abbystrong's POVs after Pedro gets Joel In One'd? A sequel with Elleniot Page as lil' pooner but grown-up?

They can do an entire season of Ellie finding a group of doctors who can study her. But this time she goes through the procedure and dies. And they can keep the ending ambiguous if some type of cure is found. Or just end with her sacrificing herself for a chance and hope at something working but never knowing. So the ending essentially puts you into her shoes. Or show the cure working and how Joel killing the bad doctors was the right choice.

There are tons of ways to continue the story. Not sure how many would be satisfactory. Also they might be limited in only being able to write a story that works as a video game. Meaning constant zombie battles and gun fights. And not a medical or character drama. In the previews for this season they've gone full 28 Days Later or Game of Thrones with hordes of invading spore zombies and introduces more 'smart' or 'boss' zombies as well.
