8chan dying still pisses me off so much. 8chan in its beginning (ie when people started actually using it) was fantastic. Great discussions, lots of big names actually posting there every now and then, it was so lively and great. I'd kill to have those days back.

And now hotwheels is a gay fatfag furry.
I never liked all the gamergate shit and when I used it that's all I saw on their /v/ so I stopped using the site quickly

Is Soyjak party down I keep getting this error

I haven't laughed this hard at anything internet related in YEARS, congrats soyteens, you made my day. I wish have a toast of wine to this great moment
Agreed. What a beautiful thing it is to see it come apart. Now it's time to sleep like a babe knowing that jannies are OD'ing themselves right now.

God smiles upon the soyteen.

It was only the 2003-2006 era that /b/ was anything resembling good. But a lot of it was rose-tinted glasses, because only the good threads got archived/reposted. After 2006, it was primarily dick-posting, with some other porn and shitposting scattered throughout, and a couple good threads every once in a blue moon. CP-spam was also a common occurrence before moot finally decided to spend months trying out captcha systems, post-timeouts, and other methods of preventing the spam, but that wasn't until 2009.
It's been a worse /gif/ for nearly decades now. Sad, many such cases.

i miss the /v/ board and the weekly multiplayer weekends they hosted were great Especially doom. nothing better than 30 autists all trying to complete a doom map.
Ever checked out /vr/ Doom generals? I haven't gone there in years. Fun place with great anons, had a few coop sessions. I hope they're still at it or can continue to go at it if 4chan comes back.

That first year and a half of 8ch was almost bliss. Enthusiastic discussion, mocking moot the luggage lad, and the devs that actually came to speak with anons just after the fall out of gamergate.

Never forget how salty 4cuck /v/ got when the fucking creator of Postal came to do a q&a with 8ch.

Supposedly the entire source code of the site. I GOT TROLLED, THIS LEAK IS FAKE

For the record, the contents of the zip have fake PHP files that just repeat this copypasta:
John Stalvern waited. The lights above him blinked and sparked out of the air. There were demons in the base. He didn't see them, but had expected them, now for years. His warnings to Cernel Joson were not listenend to and now it was too late. Far too late for now, anyway.
John was a space marine for fourteen years. When he was young he watched the spaceships and he said to dad "I want to be on the ships, daddy."
Dad said "NO! YOU WILL BE KILL BY DEMONS!"
There was a time when he believed him. Then as he got oldered he stopped. But now in the space station base of the UAC he knew there were demons.
"This is Joson," the radio crackered. "You must fight the demons!"
So John gotted his palsma rifle and blew up the wall.
"HE GOING TO KILL US," said the demons!
"I will shoot at him," said the Cyberdemon and he fired the rocket missiles. John plasmaed at him and tried to blew him up. But then the ceiling fell and they were trapped and not able to kill.
"No! I must kill the demons," he shouted!
The radio said "No, John. You are the demons."
And then, John was a Zombie.

Im assuming one of you keeps track of homestuck autism; anyone here have any idea why some soyjak wants the /co/ mods unmasked so badly, and what they did to homestuck general?

every board hates their jannies, every board wants their jannies to suffer. Some are more vocal than others.

I don't think 4chan is bad actually. It's not as good as it once was, but it's not horrible. /pol/ is whatever, but some of the smaller boards can be pretty enjoyable. I like posting on /o/ and /ck/ from time to time and occasionally check out other boards.

Someone complained about the post timer now. Unless you're always browsing incognito or resetting your IP daily, it's fine. You only have to wait 900 seconds once and then you're good until your IP resets. I do think that actually cut down on the spam a little bit.

Only real issue with 4chan is the lack of ability to post webms with sound. That single change could help it a lot.

But I kind of don't think it should change. I like that it's kind of a relic of the old internet. That being said, the main issue with 4chan is the main issue with the entire internet now. What used to be something mainly populated by nerdy men and young people is now populated by everyone. And on top of that, a lot of the more interesting and niche groups of people are no longer only publicly accessible forums (such as a kiwifarms etc) or imageboards or even aggregators (reddit). They're all on Discord and Instagram and other private walled-off social media platforms. What was once searchable is now hidden
