A very small part of me wants to be sad that 4chan could actually be ogre over this but I remember I haven't been able to shitpost on 4chan because of their retarded 10 minute filter they added months ago and I don't give a shit anymore. I hope the site itself is able to rise from the ashes but I hope the jannies themselves have their lives ruined via those leaks if they're actually real, they did everything in their power to make the site miserable over the last few years. Yea, if you go overboard with it, but it's easy to filter out the major stupid buzzwords and other repeating shitposts that hold zero worth whatsoever as well as any specific things you have no interest in seeing. Like with /a/ in particular you can cut down on a ton of the shounen shit with a few filters. Just don't be a fucking retard, though that's a pretty high bar for most.

This site is better but way slower. Hard to find activity in the niche things I like talking about. One of the good things about 4chan was any number of people talking about something, even with varying quality of discussion.

For example, there was more Nasuverse talk in a single fate thread than an entire fucking month on Beast's Lair, an actual Nasuverse forum from ages past that is now a gacha hell wasteland.

I'd be glad its gone. /v/ has been pretty much unusable for years between ineffectual jannies/mods and relentless shitposting you could only have a decent conversation about a game if it was an extremely niche non-nintendo game that the shitposters had no idea about.

An aspect of 4chan users I've always found funny was the shaming of and flat out refusal to use filters. It's trivial to curate the boards you use to hide the threads and posts you don't want to see.

I honestly was against it for so many years. Been using 4chanx since it got started but avoided filtering words. /vt/ finally broke my back after 20 years of using that site unfiltered. Seeing constant threads filled with the same fags saying the same things on cooldown with slight variations on their sentence patterns finally got me to filter words that were just there to incite arguments over mundane or worthless shit and would derail just about any thread or general they got posted in
