It's impressive how the only thing keeping this thread relevant are Izzy StevRayBro's retarded comments and the occasional picture of Pan with his zipper tits pooner gf.
Pan is a perverted retard so I'm still holding up hope that he ends up doing something really fucking stupid that comes to bite him in the ass, but that's very :optimistic: of me.
His girlfriend had top surgery? Oh no...

I'm still waiting for his pilot.

Youtube is almost like pseudo-welfare for some creatives. It gives them the ability to use their skills for a paycheck at the cost of being an cog in the advertising machine. It makes it so they can live comfortably enough without making anything for themselves and it feels like so many people that actually have real talent are squandering it making videos like Pan does. Don't get me wrong, the videos aren't bad, but you gotta admit, if Pan didn't start his career living on Youtube adbucks he probably would have been a lot further along in his career. It doesn't help that part of his entire existence on the Internet is being kind of pathetic and awkward which has earned him notoriety in the one industry he wants to get into. It's kind of a Catch 22 for Pan that I do not envy.

Beat me to it. Hoping Loki IRL will be done soon.
He's aiming to release the full thing at Momocon this year. That puts him at roughly 5.5 weeks to finish it up at this point.
His Twitter feed seems to suggest he's very close to finished, which may be why he's also mentioned trying to fit in a Ben 10 review in that time.

He really is looking into the bottom of the barrel for garbage like this….
Pan and Mr Enter on a race to see who’s a bigger faggot this week. Mr enter went full on breadtuber outright push the lie Elon Musk did a Nazi salute. He thinks the Simpsons Elon Musk episode was somehow pro-Musk.
Izzy I could definitely see a burnout from that clown in the 2020s and any former associates of Pan Pizza are most likely fucked.
Izzy I can picture throwing pan under the bus for clout #Changethechannel style.

That's right. Our boy RebelTaxi is getting ready to drop 95% of his pilot for his new series LOKI IRL at Momocon.
Cross-post from the Western Animation thread. Much like the recent Content Cop, this will be the product of a completely different person then who made it originally and not only because Daftpina co-wrote the pilot's final draft before getting outcasted from the Internet. Pan has lost all his best friends, lost the most popular animation focused podcast on the Internet, and he settled for a girl who is the complete opposite of the woman he hoped and dreamed for his entire adolescence and adulthood all because she had lower standards than he has for himself. All Pan wanted was an edgy 'Who framed Roger Rabbit' with Y2K, Superflat and Web 1.0 digital art aesthetics as a tribute to the best times of his life. I believe he's forgotten all about that by now.

When you lay it out like that I kinda doubt if he could follow up on the pilot even if it DOES do good, he's in such a different place that this one animation is probably all he's got going for him in regards to creative endeavors outside his channel. Sad to see from a creator I used to watch so much a long time ago.

writing this on my phone so apologies for formatting/typing mistakes.

I saw the pilot this weekend at momocon. Here are my thoughts on it.

This is pretty fucking bad. For someone who has watched cartoons his entire life and been an “artist” for just as long you’d expect more. Sure it’s 95% done but is he gonna replace the voice acting? Probably not. Multiple characters are voiced by Pan himself and it is the most grating shit. He is not a voice actor, you should have gotten a volunteer to voice these characters.

The animation has some interesting parts that kind of ape smiling friends with its mixed animation style presentation with stop motion and such. But it’s edited in such a way that it’s an eyesore that is not enjoyable.

This will fail, and will not have success as other pilots have had. The story is not one most kids would care about today, let alone a decade ago. I’ve watched this man’s channel for over 10 years at this point and he is a broken man.

Edit: also wanted to mention how incompetent he is. His panel was supposed to start at 5:30. For some reason he decided to have a “laptop guy” who had access to the unlisted YouTube video. Well that guy was late so it took like 15 minutes until someone in the crowd volunteered their laptop, and while fumbling with that since Pan can’t type a fucking YouTube URL the original “laptop guy” showed up. To which they then got video output but no audio, then when they finally got audio it blasted the fucking speakers since he didn’t adjust the volume.

I’d also like to note the entire time the pilot was on in the panel he had his face buried in his hands.

Which is strange because I fully remember him doing a casting call for this animated pilot for all the roles.
He did voice casting for all roles so to hear majority is voice by him makes me think either he fell out with the VA's, or never got around to hire them.

There were to my recollection maybe 2 unique VAs for male characters. Then maybe 4? Unique VAs for female characters. Regardless of how many, making the male main characters voiced by him as well as the main characters crew members voiced by him is dumb. If you watched the podcast back in the day he has a bit where he pretended to be his sister “Stefani” so he does that voice he does for that character and her brother.

Actually now that I think about it, how does the whole IRL strength thing work? In both versions of the webcomic, Loki's stated not to be as strong as he is in his own comic, and his streamer-gimmick thing seems to be his own thing, so what determines who's strong and who's weak? Is it randomized, and somebody who's a powerful villain could be generally weak while some rando could easilly flick away said villain by turning out to be real powerful? Is it like a Dragon Ball or Pokemon thing where they can keep training and get more experienced to become stronger?

So was it like the webcomic or a bit more different?

Some bits of plot from the webcomic from what I can tell, having not ever read it and just skimming through it. Some characters retained from the webcomic for the pilot.

The plot is basically Loki has this super duper OP ability called a wifi-hotspot or some shit that can kill anyone in a fight but they don’t want to use it unless it’s a last minute resort. They get into a tournament and lose but got close to winning without the OP ability so it’s all good. in-universe whoever wins the tournament gets to pitch a cartoon to the animation studio, so Loki and Bianca’s goal is to win that to pitch a cartoon. Kind of on the nose how it reflects Pans own life of failure.

So a OP main character who has the ability to insta-kill for the plot is going through a tournament arc

Pan just stole his plot from every generic shonen anime ever.

There are no stakes using this kind of plot with this set up either.
If your character can instantly kill someone, then what stakes does the story have anymore?
You may notice stories like this they really focus on the world building, because it's the only way to really get the audience invested to giving a shit about watching it at all.

Why do they want to pitch a cartoon? Is it like a high ranking seat in their society? Why do they have to fight to pitch it and not just go somewhere else?

It feels kind of a low bar considering, you know, they can instantly kill anyone.
Why do they care about this than taking over some evil government, etc?

If no one can answer all these basic questions, pan has failed with basic world building and character writing 101.

These are things that need established in the first few minutes because people will just tune the noise out if they aren't invested, or don't understand what the fuck is going on?/why they should care?

Make a world we want to see with the main character is just a vessel to do so with, or show the world reacting to them like One Punch Man.

These stories can work but it takes a lot of observation and obsessive details to make it feel like a breathable world.

If what is being written is true, then this pilot is dead in the water already.

If you can't relate or understand what's going on then the audience will not care.

What's the point if the characters START as being able to already almost win the tournament without even using the OP ability? Is going through all of that in the setting the only way to be able to just pitch a cartoon with no actual guarantee of it being picked up? Imagine if Pokemon started with Ash going straight to the league and getting pretty close to almost beating them and only losing because he didn't just take out a gun and shoot them.
