I don't think anyone truly gives a shit at this point.

Yeah, there's not really anywhere better to go for discussions on various topics, but between the extreme mismanagement and metastasized cancer events that happen every 3 or 4 years you'd be hard pressed to have meaningful discussions outside of a handful of boards that have post per minutes measured instead in hours.

If anything 4chan going offline for a long period before coming back is probably better for the website than remaining up.

Speaking of /pw/. I don’t get why 4chan got rid of the alternative sports board. Than again I find it we weird 4chan had a /mlp/ and /lgbt/ board yet no /furry/. I don’t like furries but they would’ve brought the site traffic.

I'm not 100% on the reason either but from what I can recall:

-Nashposting reached critical mass
-AEW was just starting out so there was more company wars threads
-OG alt sports people like the Frisbee golf fans had been bitching about wrestling invading their secret club
-longtime tripfags like Dean Mark/Wolfcuck/Ojama got doxed and ridiculed

Of course when the board splits, the wrestling portion remained as busy as ever whereas the alt sports portion became a ghost town immediately.
