General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

Another of my favorite moments from the shork:
gura eyes.webp

Am I missing some tweets or something because I don’t see any hololive talents in the replies like with Mumei for example.

Edit: holy shit there are still 4 hours till it starts

The dude who's tweet went viral misrepresenting that stuff was promptly doxxed on TVA for being a faggot seeking attention as I believe he was also a poster over there.
I did that, he was a jeet or sandnigger rrat peddler who had his professional alt linked to his rrat peddling vtuber drama account that he also used the name in TVA

Here is his github archived

He is a CompSci faggot studying in York, Canada named Mahdeen I. Iirc he was also a mod for r/virtualyoutubers before people dug up screenshots of him organizing retards to shit up the short lived HoloPlus app in a discord. Either that or the lamy rrat got him the boot, but i think it was the former

He also had a public pixiv account with alot of Gura R18 shit publicly favorited
Including a piece featuring her being raped while gagged and tied.
Ill spare you the image but i have that archived

Edit: found the post that seems to imply he was in BannedVtuberMemes' discord and participated in their Holoplus Raid

Excellent reading comprehension. I asked why you retards keep peddling a rrat that every graduated talent has explicitly disproven.

1. I've mostly checked out of Hololive since Ame's graduation, it's not the same way it was when it was just Myth and Council
2. Is grave dancing unironically your idea of "truly caring"?
Because they definitely can’t just be saying that to not stir up drama. Because people have never said things like that before to mitigate things.

Grave dancing? Celebrating my Oshi returning is not “grave dancing” I did the same thing with SachiOwO/Dooby and LemonLeaf/Numi Nightmare.
the types to not follow their oshi elsewhere
Because they’re fans of the character, not the person. I’ve been saying this the whole time.

You're jumping the gun to implying Holo is doing some old school idol company churning of the talent when the few dissatisfied snippets of people who have left usually include personal circumstances/illness, a simple change in life path, or at worst, management being obtuse and retarded, but nothing to an extreme extent

To be honest, I don’t find it’s that weird when you break it down:
- Ame and Fauna want to do all their ideas without management saying no.
- Both Mumei and Chloe have health issues and can’t keep up with their work load even with adjustments.
- A-Chan wasn’t a talent and iirc she has family issues.
- Aqua is the only one I can’t figure out since she doesn’t do thing differently from when she was in Holo beside playing Genshin.
- Shion didn’t stream much anyway and maybe she couldn’t keep up with the new work load.
- Gura is probably a combination of management fault, sick both physically and mentally and now all her close friends being gone.
It’s still Cover fault for not noticing talent dissatisfaction earlier especially the more introverted one and fix it immediately. But some of them does have slightly different reason for graduating.
Seems pretty obvious to me. Corpos were needed at the beggining because the market was niche, but now you can go full indy, be your own boss and make as much, if not more money. Want to stream a game? Don't need corpo approval for it. Want to stream at whatever hour you feel like? Go for it. Don't want to do "idol" shit? Then don't. Once you made a name for yourself in a corpo, the smartest thing is going indy.
Which is why all of this "graduation" shit is retarded as fuck. The effect it has on the viewer is negligeble but people are still acting as if the person behind the avatar is about to get executed.

In some cases certainly in other ones eh I don't know I think at a certain point it just becomes "Talent wants X, Company is doing Y" and it's just time to part ways, company can't and isn't going to completely shift direction to "fix" every issue an employee might have (it's just unrealistic with as many talents as they have) and I think in the case of some of the EN girls a big source of frustrations being things like game perms, there's just nothing Cover could even do to help that as a Japanese company.

That's kind of been the thing I've been trying to underscore with the "management differences" "differences in direction" talk that's come from these types of graduations is that sometimes it just be like that, times change and people move on in vtubing just like in any other industry or career. It's not the world ending it's just the march of time.
I agree too that it could just be your normal company stuff, people want X while Company is doing Y, I especially believe that Aqua, Shion and Ame fall into that category.

But Cover / management does have some blames since Ame, Gura and Fauna did have grievances with management before leaving, Fauna having a fight with management about the MC part in breaking dimensions.

I do think they (Cover) start noticing the state of management, at least for the EN since Advent and Justice seem to like their managers and doesn’t seem to have project problem like the previous gen (maybe except Nerissa).

A-Chan was the glue that held them together. A halfway decent management.
Despite A-Chan not technically being a manager I think there is a lot of truth to this.

I’ve worked more than a few places where there are a few lynchpin employees that keep everything rolling. It might not even be all that obvious when they are there, but as soon as they go things take a noticeable downturn.

One of her greatest triumphs was understanding how to use silence as a joke.

That whole playthrough was gold from start to finish, but this was one of those moments that showed that she really did understand that comedy and entertainment aren't just about being loud and crass (even though she loves a good fart noise).

Indie has its warts, the underlying freedom can also generate a lack of drive to do more and more. Some people are also too retarded to even reach out or know their own value when they go indie, like Mint, Doki was kicked out and had the great boon of being loved by all so she had no issues getting work done. Nimi had a good exit plan, but its too early to know if she is going to thrive as much as she did pre holo longterm once the redebut hype wears off (although, she still has her full model in the horizon)

Dooby was hailed as being back and she had a pretty strong start. Until a couple days ago where she admitted to having burnout

Is it better? I dont think it is just now, vtubing management i think is still too early of an industry to know if the non corpo forms of it will be or not. The one big benefit is for people who leave jap companies, but most who will fuck off from western ones will have it be more of the same. With more tired memes of management boyfriend that are occasionaly true
